I have a pre-employment test next week (July 5-8) and just stopped smoking yesterday (June 29). I am 5'6", 147 pounds and have a moderate metabolism. I workout daily. And I have smoked daily for nearly 15 years. I've started by drinking water (even though I've read it doesn't help) and taking Detoxify's Constant Cleanse 3x a day along with a multivitamin once a day.

I've read about the dilution method and was wondering would this work for me? I need this job very badly. I have been unemployed for 5 months now and I'm guardian of my niece and newphew due to my sister's incarceration. Any advice anyone (especially the moderators) is willing to share is greatly appreciated.

Anything that claims to remove THC metabolites from your body is a scam. The only thing that removes them from the fat tissue where they're stored is time and fat-burning exercise.

I doubt there's enough time to get your levels down to the point where dilution would work. I'd go for substitution. Pre-employment drug tests are rarely observed and substitution is a sure thing.

Subbing seems to work,though I have decided to stay clean I have practiced the methods of subbing for many days now & I am astonished with the results.

I put water in a 2oz shampoo bottle,heated it up by placing it in a cup of hot water to about 104 degrees,placed it in my crotch for 2 hours (I have lots of free time right now ) & when I checked the temp of the water in the 2oz bottle it registered @ body temp.

It seems like a sure thing.

I'm considering smoking again.

If he/she stopped on the 29th and waited until July 8th to take the test that's about 10 days. I realize everybody is different but my husband can quit 5-7 days before a test and pass. He's a daily smoker and has been for years. But his tests are for probation so substitution is out of the question. If you can sub then that's the best bet.

5-7 days, very good congrats. Will this circumstance always prove to be a success? Maybe, but I would not count on it.

That's been tried. Tom Sizemore, the actor, was recently locked up for violating probation when he took his test using a fake penis. When they say "closely observed" they mean it.

The best bet for probation is to just quit smoking until it's over.

I so appreciate everyone's responses to my inquiry. I do have a follow up question that may sound dumb. Please forgive me. I still don't know when my test is or what kind of test it will be. I do know it is with Quest Diagnostics. Any tips on how I can find out the testing method so I can be prepared? I think I'm ok with the saliva test. And plan to dilute and home test AND take a clean sample to sub. Not sure if I need to take the time and expense to do the hair cleansing and that's why I'm trying to find out the test type (w/o calling and making it obvious that I'm trying to clean myself up).

Again, you guys and gals are the bomb. I was a nervous wreck before I found this site and almost turned down the job to avoid the stress. Thank you all for helping me get my confidence back. God bless
