Do you guys think I will be tested? I have completed the interview process, background and reference checks, signed an offer letter and was given a start date (in two weeks) without any notice of a time or date to show up for pre-employment drug test. After my in-person interview I filled out some forms to consent to a background check and also signed a form stating that I authorized them to take "necessary specimens" from me to determine the use or presence of drugs or alcohol specifically for pre-employment. The section of the form was titled Pre-Employment, however nothing was mentioned since then. I have a start date and was given all my information on benifits and corporate policy (which does not specifically mention a drug policy) and am wondering if they will test me the first day or what?? If anybody has any information on pre-employment screening please help me out...
It is for a very large IT company if that helps any.. I have some friends in other large public IT companies that don't get tested at all and my mind wants me to believe that this form was just a general form and they dont test all employees.. Im preparing for the worst and will probably be tested but have no idea what type of test it will be. Other people posting here seem to be notified of the type of test and other details but I wont here from them until my first day.
