SUCKS. Been on for about 10 months now and my god does it suck. Makes me scared to even go hang out drinking for the simple fact that something crazy might happen and I may get arrested. The only things probation has done for me is give me a lethal amount of stress and increase how much i drink. Apparenly I have a lenient probation, as I have only had 2 urine tests over the course of my probation, and I do not have to call to check in, ever. Yet the stress remains. Everyday. So, I guess they have done their job. I will be more careful with everything I do when I get off this, (knocking on wood). Yet, while I am crying like a little baby here, I guess its better crying at home than in a cage. I just felt like ranting a little bit guys, sorry. Oh, and the reason for my probation, smoking a little measly joint. Now, instead of smoking and chilling thinking happy thoughts, I get drunk and stupid. Thank you Mr. police officer sir, u have turned me into a nervous drunk. I know i put sooooooo many people in harms way by being high. Thank you for getting me off weed. Alcohol is much safer for me and everyone else around me. I also thought it was cool how it took four of you to pull me over. Did u think my joint was a rocket launcher? Did u see Osama in my back seat? We need police officers, sir , but we don't need PIGS. Sorry again board, just felt like ranting. Any other probation inmates want to blow some steam? Feel free.

There are ways to deal with stress other than drinking. The cops didn't make you a nervous drunk. You did. Of course, drunks always blame someone else for their condition.

Sir, as I know that the intention of your reply was in good nature, trust me in that I am not a drunk. I was just a little frustrated when I wrote that last night as I had to pass up on smoking, yet once again. Instead, being the 4th of July, I CHOSE (happy now?) to drink, which I really don't enjoy all too much, even though it acts as MORE of an outlet for me nowadays, as it is the ONLY thing I can do to ''catch a buzz''. The post was meant to be somewhat sarcastic and comical, which clearly was a mistake as I see now the stiffness of this board. I also just wanted to get a little info from other people on probation to see how they are dealing with it and to find out what THEIR probation is like. Aside from your stiff character, thank you, as well as the other moderators, for helping people through their situations with your knowledge and experience. Again, sorry if I bothered you with that post. From now on, if I post something, I will not let my writing stray away from question format. Ill just stick with the routine ''HELP, I smoked a joint 84 days ago, do you think I can pass?'' posts.

I'm on probation in TX, Travis County, for a DWI, and I'm totally empathetic to your situation. I have about six more months to go. Where are you "serving"?
