| When a lab get a sample and they think it is diluted is it legal for them to skip the initial test immunoassy and go to the next one? S2, N2, any intel on this. |

| Legal..? Yes, but why would they. It would make no sense. If there is a dilute-possitive result, then a GC/MS would be done to confirm the possitive pannel. But ONLY is the cheaper immunoassay showed a likelyhood of a possitive test. To put it another way, if a light goes out in your house, do you try replacing the bulb or do you go straight to call the electrition? you always try the cheapest possable solution first. Same thing at the lab, even if the urine validity check shows the sample dilute. Hope that helps. N2
