I took a pre employment test 2 days ago. I called today and the hr person told me there was a hiring freeze,after they pushed me thru at an accelerated pace.
I was at job getting a certification yesterday, and the hr rep said my drug test and back ground check would be back today. I called and like I said they said hiring freeze. I took a home test kit a1/2 hr approx. after the real test and it said i was neg.My ouestion is this would a mro have to call me if I failed my test?It sounded like i was getting the brush off from hr.
Thanks for the help not knowing is killing me!!!

In reference to my previous post,the lab name is drugscan out of warminster PA.
Also on my copy of the form it states that a medical review officer would contact me if they found any positive results.
like I said before the hr person told me that they just got word they had to implement a hiring freeze. Would'nt they have to tell me if i failed the pre employment screen.

The chain of custody form you have should state..that the MRO would contact you if you were positive.
If you took a rapid panel and were negative, I don't know why they would send it for a GC/MS.

I don't know why they would test you at all if they had a hiring freeze..so I am confused on that.

Some companies might have policies on positives for illegal drugs. Still, I believe for legal purpose, they would disclose that to you..and the MRO call to have a chance to clear up the issue or inform you.

I have a buddy who works for this co.,and he said the vp of the company did show up and call a meeting on Friday(the day i was supposed to find out my start date!!). He thinks it could have involved a hiring freeze because it is a major trucking co.,and fuel is ridiculous(Thank you george busch!!). This causes
people to look for cheaper shipping options.Anyway the hr person didn't say anything about my drug test or back ground check,and even told me to give him a call in about a month. I would think he would have to tell me if there was a problem with the drug test or background check. Anyway i just am beig paranoid
I guess no news on the test is probably good news.

Scine the test was already at the lab I would think that if it was a positive the MRO would call anyway, unless the CO called and said not to test it but I doubt that would happen.
