| I'm taking a pre-employment urine screen on Thursday, September 22. I took an at home test this afternoon (the Saturday before) after mowing the lawn and doing some chores. I drank a cup of coffee in the morning, ate lunch around noon with 12 ounces of gatorade...so basically I didn't do any "studying". I took the test and though the pink line wasn't as dark as the control line, I tested negative. The test instructions do say that it doesn't matter how faint the line is, as long as it is there, then the test was negative. Should I assume that I'm clean then or is there a margin of error associated with home tests and are they different than the typical pre-employment screens? My dillema is this.....I have been clean for 21 days..at least it will be 21 days come test day. I don't have to take the test on the 22nd but I'm going on a camping trip that same weekend with some buddies and sure would like to get a buzz on. I know the right thing to do is to wait as long as possible but the home test says I'm clean. If I'm clean I want to take the test so I can get back to doing what I enjoy....campin' and burnin' with the boys!!! Thanks! |
