I purchased two bottles of QF today from a vendor and this type of vendor does not give receipts(if you know what I mean). Anyway, when I opened the first bottle it looked like 2 ounces was in there. It wasn't filled all the way to the top, but I expected that. When I opened the next box, the QF was noticeably less than the other. Maybe 3mm in depth less. Also, it had little crusties around the lid. Do you think that it make have spilled during manufacturing? Think this is good to use?Does the QF have a seal on the lid after you unscrew the cap? I ask this b/c when I was checking out the crusties on the lid, I turned the lid a 1/4 of the way. Did I ruin it? If it has a seal then I am probably ok. One more thing, they say that QF is good for a year. Is that a year from time of purchase b/c obviously we don't know the date of manufactering. Also, do you guys think the color of QF is a realistic shade of yellow?

OK, here is what I did. I opened the QF and tested it with validity testing strips and all came back good. Can you open the bottle and re -close like I did and still keep it for a year or did I ruin it? Thanks

You did no harm in opening and closing the QF bottle. As long as you dont leave it open for extended periods of time, it'll be fine. The crustys are nothing to worry about. Thats just the reminants of the synthetic mix that never got mixed in during manufacturing. When calculating the shelf life of the QF, refer to the manufacturing date on the upper-left corner of the enclosed instruction sheet. (Example: Batch 3A-04 = March 2004) If the bottle(s) appear to be quite low from leakage, etc. you should exchange the bottle for another. Make the exchanges at Spectrum Labs, not the vendor. The address is: Spectrum Labs Inc PO Box 8401 Cincinnati OH, 45208 ATTN: Refunds & Exchanges Hope this helps some ![]()
