Howdy ALl, I posted yesterday after taking my first ever urine test - Quest gs/ms. I had been looking for some reassurances from members and did get a few- Cheers to you guys. I found myself tossing and turning all night wondering "what if I messed this up, what am I going to do?" which is normal I assume. Thought I might try again this morning and see if anyone else out there has any feedback. Me 33, male, 200 lbs, not terribly active- a bit out of shape with the typical "beer gut" syndrome. Have not smoked in 3 weeks and prior only on and off, never more than 1 small bowl a day and less than an 1/8 since Aug. 1.(nothing terribly special- propably canadian indoor) I passed a Walgreens at home screen on Tuesday morning with my first pee and no efforts to dilute. Day of test: woke up had my normal 2 cups coffee, large glass (12-14oz) water with a fiber pill and daily vitamin and 2 aspirin. Over the next couple of hours I mixed cranberry juice in water and drank probably close to 80 oz. of this and was peeing clear in no time. I also had another fiber pill, a couple rolaids and another vitamin and 2 more aspirin with this load of liquids. In the final 11/2 hours before the test I started in on the gatorade: I drank 2 32 oz with a tablespoon of salt in each, another vitamin, 2 aspirin, couple rolaids, and 1 more fiber pill- drank the gatorade right up test time. Test: had to wait almost an hour in lab (bladder was about to pop), gave the minmal sample allowed- just over thermometer and a mid stream to boot. Color was a relatively dark yellow - those vitamins must have kicked in. I was worried last night that perhaps in the long wait at the lab I had ruined my dillution as I was straining to hold back the flow??? I would love to hear some words of encouragement and will definately post the results...BuT I am freakin out like never before. Peace
