| For everyone that questions Quick Fix's(or other synthetics) ability to be detected, I found some info on the American College of Pathologists website. Questions often are asked if the lab can detect if the sample is not human. It is known that the only way to detect synthetic urine is to look for something called Igg. This is only found in human urine and cannot be duplicated by synthetics. Good news for people subbing is that the lab would have to do a DNA test to look for Igg. This is a very expensive test that is very very rarely done. It requires a separate form to sign in addition to the standard release forms we already put our John Hancock on. I wanted to post what the American College of Pathologists stated to ease the mind of anyone considering subbing with synthetics. Here is what they said......... A more sophisticated form of substitution is to purchase clean urine online and carry it under an arm in a bag to keep it near body temperature. "Females sometimes carry negative urine in their vagina in condoms and pierce them when they need to give a specimen," Dr. Peat says. This practice is hard to detect without DNA testing. "Some people believe you should do directly observed urine collection," Dr. Peat says. "Directly observed collection is mandatory in the military but only rarely performed elsewhere |
