Default Floaties

I found out Thur. 9/30/05 that I had to drug test. I called a friend of mine who had a 3 month old, unopened package of Quick Fix. I met him at 6am Friday morn. When I opened it, there was some floaties in it. As I had no time to buy a new one, I ran home quickly and poured it through a coffee filter. It poured back into the bottle free of floaties. I took my test at 8:20 am. Will pouring it through the coffee filter screw things up for me. I had no problems at the test site. The guy didn't even look at the temp gage. Any thoughts on this. Now waiting in Toledo.

When you discovered the floatys, were they light in color? Light-colored floatys can be strained and the QF won't be harmed.
If the floatys appear green or any type of darker color, don't use!. Exchange the bottle for another thru Spectrum Labs.

Keep in mind though that its not uncommon to find a few little floatys in human samples as well. Bits of lint from undergarments, etc. can and do make their way into the sample cup.
Its the large gobs that you dont want in your sample cup, and therefore should be strained.

Exchange or strain should have been done.

Do you think I'll have to retake the test? Do you think they will know it's fake? Now worried in Toledo.

Buz,
If you still have the packaging from the QF, look on the directions for heating sheet that came with it. In the left hand corner, it will say something like "Batch 2B 2005". This means that the QF was made in Feb. of this year. QF is good for up to 1 and half years. I think you will be ok as long as you got the floaties out. Only a guess though. Hopefully your friend kept it out of direct sunlight. Try and relax. I am sure it will all work out.
