Yesterday, I had a pre-employment screen. I drank Zydot natural orange - following the directions exactly. It was a DOT test, therefore a GC/MS. I had been clean for 7 days. I am female, 5'10 165 lbs. I have been smoking for 30 years, but have cut my consumption severely over the last several months. I guess I should also mention that I have lost 45 lbs in the past 8 months. The results of the quick screen were borderline and it got sent to the lab so I don't know what is happening yet. We will just have to see.

Ive been subbing for about a month now.

Ive passed three tests no problem, once you get over the
nervousness the first time, youll do it no problem

Subbing is a life saver.

If this was a DOT test, there was no "quick screen" allowed. All DOT tests are not supposed to be screened either with the urine that is sent to the lab or with the excess urine (supposed to be discarded). If they ran an instant test on your DOT specimen, tell the MRO if he calls. This is in violation of DOT drug testing regulations.

All tests that go to labs are "GC/MS".

Look on your copy of the Custody and Control Form. At the top, does it say "Federal" or does it say "Non-Federal" or "Forensic". If it says the first one, it was a DOT test and they are doing it incorrectly. If one of the last two, then they can do what they want with it because it is not a DOT test.

I wanted to make it official: I passed my test! I haven't gotten specifically told so, but it's been a week and a half since I 'took' the test, so I'm gonna take it as a good sign. The HR lady came in today and pulled a new(er) higher out to go take a drug test during training (drove her there). I figure she would have taken me or at least said something at the time if I hadn't passed.

I'm 6 feet, 185 lbs., with a pretty good metabolism. I was a weekly smoker but then abstained for 27 days before taking my first test. It was before I found this site so I (stupidly) drank too much water and came back negative dilute. Even more stupidly, I smoked three days after the first test but before I knew I would have to retest. I had probably 3-4 hits of not very good weed. I was then clean for another 8 days before my test. I tested negative on 6 different home tests with my first void using three different brands (First Check, At Home, and some dipsticks I got on the internet). All pretty good lines. Took the test yesterday after drinking one 20 ounce gatorade 1.5 hours before the test.

Thanks so much to eveyrone on this site - especially Sec3, 1Toke, and Grillmeats. You guys are lifesavers.

Bottom line, get yourself a home test. If you pass w/ first void, then just drink a 20 ounce Gatorade and go take the damn test.

I still have not heard anything...except the fact that the lab did the wrong test - not a D.O.T.

They are waiting for the results from the wrong test before they decide what to do, and are letting me work in the meantime.

If I am supervised, with little to no notice, what can I do? I have stayed completely clean for a little over 2 weeks. 5'10 - 165 lbs - female - sort of slow metabolism, but lost 40 pounds over the last 8 months...Help - please advise...

I bought sub in case I am unsupervised...please advise...
