First off, much love to the people who run this site. I'd be insane from stress if I hadn't had the information contained here. This system is so flawed its not funny in the least, and it should be no business of anyone's what I do in my off time as long as my job performance is good.

Found out a week ago that I would have to take a pre-employment DT for my new job. The employer is a major hospital in my area (eastern US). It was presented to me as a physical that I would have to take, and only near the end of the employment process I was told a DT would be part of it. I have been a heavy (2-3 bowls after work) smoker for more than 10 years. Stakes were very high. I've been out of work for months and had cashed out all my savings some time ago.

After reading on here the various methods I decided to go with the substitution method. I did abstain for the last week, on the off chance it would be a blood or saliva test. In light of the massive amount of experiences reporting sucess with Quick Fix I ordered the pack from the leading result returned when using google. 2 days later I recieved my UPS package and inside was a 2oz bottle of the product, a second cap with the flip top, a handwarmer package and 2 pieces of product literature.

The batch number is #F4K-09.

The day before the test I practiced my temps, this went a loooooong way in helping me gain confidence. I bought from the store 2 of the travel bottles (one 2oz, another 3oz), a 3$ digital thermometer (it did beep, but didn't matter I wasn't going to take it in with me), and a 4 pack of the Coleman Toe Warmers. The back of the toe warmers said it provided temps up to aprox 105 and the hand warmers stated they went up somewhere near 140 if I recall. I definately reccommend the toe warmers, they were just the right power to keep the temp where it needed to be. I also purchased some tighty-whiteys that were 1 size too small.

One hour before my apointment I heated up the sample to 101 degrees using my microwave at home (2 seconds at high done twice, took VERY little time to heat up from room temp). As an aside I had practiced with one of the travel bottles filled with water the day before and the bottle started to melt after only a few seconds. The QF bottle was MUCh thicker and had no problems being heated multiple times. So after I had heated the QF bottle before the DT, I rubber banded the bottle to an activated toe warmer and crotched it. No big deal at all, the bottle was fairly small and was not uncomfortable at all. I then drove the 30 mins to the hospital. In the car I checked the temp one more time before heading in (temp was about 99.5 by this time) and was then ready to go in.

Since this was a combined DT/Physical I was very worried that I would be subjected to the turn your head and cough treatment and the gig would be up. My plan was to mention as I was being brought in that I had really needed to use the bathroom as I have been holding it for some time. This ended up being unneccessary since after filling out the paper work, my sample donation was the first thing they did. One note, this was a Employee Health Services office inside the hospital, not a quest/lapcorp colleciton center. While waiting and filling out paperwork I saw a few people go before and it was very relaxed. They didn't request anything regarding the empting of my pockets, they only handed me a cup, requested I fill it up over the temp strip and then not to flush or wash my hands until after they had the sample. I went into the bathroom, set the cup on the back of the toilet, and removed the bottle from my taint. I unscrewed the lid, set it carefully on the back of the toilet, picked up the cup and poured. The 2oz QF was just enough to fill to level needed and the temp strip had a very bright dot at the 96 reading, and a slightly fainter one at 98. After doing this I put the QF bottle in my pocket since I was sure they wouldn't need me to empty them subsequent to this.

After this it was a very light physical, and was done in my clothing and the balls-holding/cough was not done. The Dr. did notice the high heart rate (103), but as I had just had blood drawn I explained I was very uncomfortable with needles (actually true).

That was yesterday, and I'm pretty sure if you are to get a call by the MRO it would be today, and so far nothing. Of course if that changes I'll followup but I do not expect to get that call after reading all the other sucesses.

Summary of tips:
- Practice your temps. I practiced with the QF bottle itself. I handled the bottle of QF while testing as if it was a deadly toxin and spilling it would be my death (not far from the truth heh)
- Use the toe warmers (bought separate) instead of the handwarmers (included) if you are only trying to maintain the temp from the microwaving. The handwarmers would be better I supose if you needed the warmer to bring the sample up to the right temp, instead of maintaining it.
- I didn't feel any risk of the package slipping with only 1 pair of slightly undersized underwear. 2 pairs was not needed.



I'm very confident that I passed, but in the odd chance that it didn't I'll followup before I become homeless =)

I PASSED! I had a test for probation this morning, I had smoked 5 days ago (4 hits from a J). I followed N2's dilution method. My first sample was too diluted, and my second was testable, and I PASSED! WEEE!!

I passed my test using Quickfix!!! I don't remember the batch number except I know it was within the last couple months. I didn't have access to a microwave, so I use the heating pad and hid it in my pants. By the time I went into the bathroom after the waiting around they make you do, it was at 98 degrees! Thanks to everyone on this board though because I was never nervous about it due to this board!!!

I just called labCorp to ask if my results had been delivered to my employer - I was informed that the results went to them on the 29th - I have not heard a word from anyone - I asked the CSR if I couold have the results and she told me "no, but if there was a problem the employer should have already contacted you".

Can I take that as code for saying "Yes, you passed"?

I had an executive-level job laid off from my employer after 10 years. I have two small children, and my wife is a stay-at-home mom. Thus, I knew I had to be aggressive in finding a job.

I also smoked weed on a regular basis. Not a lot. I would take 2-5 hits every other night--but had done this for close to 15 years. Other than that---I consider myself a model citizen. I'm heavily involved in our community--coach youth sports, I am on the board of my children's PTA, I lead a city-level program for fostering positive role models for children, etc., etc. Weed never affected my ability to get ahead in life.

My prayers were answered in a few weeks after being laid off I was offered an INCREDIBLE job. Pay was better, closer to my house, etc. The day after my final interview (I had a feeling the job was mine) the HR dept. called me and made me the offer. I was pumping my fist in the air in delight, and then she said, "of course this is all contigent upon your background check and drug test." I was told I could take it anytime the following week.

WTF???? I had not even thought of that. I had no idea what to do, so I surfed the Internet and landed on this forum. I also purchased a home kit, and tested NEGATIVE on multiple occassions. However, I was still very concerned and did not trust the results---how could it be negative? I read about dilution and considered that--but it seemed to risky. There were too many variables involved, and then I started reading about subbing.

I ended up deciding to sub. It was a "go for broke" approach, meaning that I did it right, it would work---if not, I would fail. But the chance was worth it as I simply could not fail this test.

I practiced. I practiced some more, and then I practiced more. I spent the entire weekend fine-tuning the approach. I did my homework, and was prepared for every possible scenario.

The day came for the test. I had my wife pee in a cup about 15 minutes before the test. I put it in a clean 4oz. bottle, and affixed a single hit pad to it with a rubber band. I tucked it, and was on my way.

Although I was confident--I was a NERVOUS wreck at the collection facility. There was so much riding on this, it was painful to think about. However, I remained as calm as I could, and performed the sub.

I passed everything fine, and am now working at my dream job. I have since made a decision to stop smoking weed. It is simply not worth the stress I went through for that week. Although I feel very comfortable about subbing, I simply to not want to go through that again.

Finally, I want to thank everyone on here who provided their sound advice. As my wife said, "What would people do without the Internet?" There is no way I would have figured out what to do without the help of this forum. I think we've all seen there are many honest, hard-working, family men who run into bad luck and end up being tested. My advice is to stop smoking now if you have a responsibility to your family. You never know--and you could end up being tested ad hoc, and maybe even have to take a hair test.

Thank you all who helped once again. You have no idea what your advice did for me and my family.

So I stalked and ready almost every post (well I tried) on here about passing a UA DT for pre-employment.

I was not even looking for a job (self-employed) for about a year - but had this great job offer...

But had to pass a DT

I'm a big boy... smoke everyday for the last 10 years prob around a gram a day...

Needless to say - the 6 or 7 days I had before the DT were NOT going to be enough to clean me out - and I was VERY skeptical of the drinks and potions - some people with better metabolism etc - maybe able to dillute - me - probably not.

So I subbed.

First on all - I read everything I could find - my test was a simple 5 panal DT through Quest.

I went a little crazy and bought a LOT of synthitic urine (like 4 different types) I live in a NO ship state - so I found affiliates and others... and bought from multiple business - just trying to hedge my bet.

I figured after all the money I have spent on pot in the past 10 years - a couple hundred on a fix is really just a drop in the bucket.

I bought 2 Quick Fix (5.7), 1 Syn Urine (namebrand), 1 from the local head shop called Ace It 4.

I practiced. The day before the test - I heated a quick fix, crotched it for about 2 hours - checking the temp with a digi them every 15 minutes. After I heated it to 100 degrees - I could keep the temp around 98 crotching it for a couple of hours.

Because this was my first subb - I was scared about the (its not enough - and I had the 2 oz bottle - and it is like really - a small amount) and also - if I subbed and then the tech wants more/drops sample/ whatever - I HAVE to be prepared... dont put all your eggs in one basket! So I walked into the test with 2 oz bottle in the crotch, another 2 oz bottle ace bandaged to my thight, and a 4 oz bottle of Ace IT 4 - aced bandaged to my ankel... I could do 3 test if asked - and if the quantity was not enough then for the second test I'd use the 4 oz bottle.

(I kept the other bottles warm by - heating them to around 100 degrees in the micro and them wrapping a (TOE WARMER - they only get to about 107 degrees) to the bottle - seperated by one layer of ace bandage - I found that this one layer seperation kept it right at 96 degrees.

NOW - a little backstory - I use to be in staffing - litterally the one that sent you to the DT and fired you if you failed... funny, mean, whatever - such is life... - I know that the techs at the DT -place are typically hourly employees - and if you're friendly to them - they are to you as well.

I am also an ... actor.. meaning I;ve done theatre my entire life - so I created a 'character' to play while in the facility - thereby making me not nervous.

I signed in - went the the bathroom - poured the quick fix in the cup, poured a small amount in the bowl (to have the sound) opened the door - tech chick was standing right there with some soap - she took the 'sample' the temp was about 96 degrees - poured what she needed into the vial discarded the rest of the 'sample' and sent me on my way.

This was Tuesday - test results take 24-48 hours - and they go to the MRO (who is hired by my potential new job) I have recieved no phone calls - and know that they have begun the background search - - - so

As far as I can tell - I've passed.


Subbing is easy - BUT PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE - I am a 'smooth criminal' lol... that's to say I am well versed in saying and doing what people want to see and hear.. I am afterall self-employed! But you dont sub everyday so ... PRACTICE

BUT I was SO THANKFUL that I had practiced. I rehearsed everything from my conversations with the tech to a step-by-step of what I was going to do.

So this is my - thank-you to this forum and Sec and N2 (I know he's not around much anymore) and everyone for the help. When I found out that I was going to take a DT - I FREAKKED OUT - and this site calmed me down so THANKS

Moral of the story - If you smoke - and you're a 'big' guy - you need to just go ahead and buy some synth piss to keep it around... BUT PRACTICE!

Here's hoping the background check goes well (it should) and then I will be a member of a fortune 500 company - with all the benefits...etc.

The fact that I 'passed' a DT is laughable to ALL of my friends... but I think they are just jealous....!

i was smoking some bud with the homies to suddenly know that a opportunity for job just came up!! so what do i do?? i did some research.. the best drink for passing is a drink called "failsafe" its pricy and takes 3 hours to finish cuz its a dual flushing system.

now i couldnt afford failsafe and plus it wouldnt be deleverd in time for my drug test anyway so what do i do???

so i ran to nearest head shop, to buy a drink called "qcarbo clear 20" but then i read online after i bought the drink, that it doesnt work well, so what do i do??? i went back to the head shop and bought another "herbal qcarbo"
this one is different then, "qcarbo clear 20" clear 20 comes with pills and "herbal clean" doesnt.. i went to the drug testing i drank clear 20 with pills, pissed 15 times before drug test, then THEN DRANK THE OTHER BOTTLE!! pissed 5 times, after that drink went in and passed!!!!!!!!

so praise the lord we can all smoke and rejoice!!!!!!! ))))
