Hey i have a pre-operation physical coming up on Nov. 10 and i smoked some friday night(28th) or what would be sat. morning and i was wondering if its possible ill be clean enough to pass. Im semi-active everday after school and im gonna goto the gym and do some intense cardio the next couple days. And since this is my family doctor I was wondering if they even tested for drugs or just unrinary infections. I might be getting some blood taken but im not sure.im like 5'11" weigh about 165-170 pounds and it was the first time i ever smoked.

I don't know if this is an American post, but in my experiences with physicals they do not test for drugs. They will test for sugars and protein in your urine, most likely because of the anesthetic they will use during the operation. I wouldn't worry about a drug test.

They don't test for drugs. Matty86 is 100% correct. I have had surgeries in the past and drug screens were not a requirement. They will test to see if you are physically capable of under going anasthesia without complications. Good luck with your upcoming surgery

the only way your blood would be a problem is if you are high when they draw the sample
