What are they doing with it? Is there any time it would take longer or shorter?

By looking at the website for quest diagnostics it says that as far as the actual testing goes, they like to complete them within 24 hrs of receiving them. I guess the paperwork then might be another day or 2

It depends on how busy the Lab is, I have gotten results back in an hour or less some times.

Well I just took the test yesterday morning but I am anxiously awaiting the results, and of course the whole time I am envisioning what they are doing with it, so I was just wondering, lol! If I called the lab, would they call my employer to tell them I called asking about it?

If any lab told you anything on the phone that would be a HIPPA(privacy act) violation

For my own results? I am familiar with HIPPA but I thought they could release one's own info??? Or do you just mean they couldn't tell me on the phone, like I would have to go there again and ask in person? I am just trying to figure out how I can find out my results as quickly as possible!

You can go in person, except that when you signed to take the test, the urine is property of the employer. That means they call him, and he calls you.
