iam joing the army in canada an i was at a meeting today and when there were talking about the urine sample they said they were checking for medical conditions does this mean they will not be looking for drugs? i also read the folowing............
Random and pre-employment drug testing of public employees is a human rights violation and not allowed under the Canadian Human Rights Act, the federal Canadian Human Rights Commission announced this week. Their decision strikes down suspicionless drug testing policies for federally regulated workers, such as bank employees and airline pilots.

"Positive drug tests simply confirm an individual's previous exposure to drugs, not whether the person is capable of performing the essential requirements of their job," the CHRC stated in a press release. The Canadian Human Rights Act prohibits discrimination based upon disability or perceived disability, and drug and alcohol dependency are considered disabilities under the law.

No idea what they might be looking for, sorry. Good luck in the army and stay safe . But I love the stuff in your post about Human Rights . I think I want to be Canadian .

Their decision strikes down suspicionless drug testing policies for federally regulated workers, such as bank employees and airline pilots.

Default Best Wishes

I'm a USA citizen, but I still want to thank you for having the fortitude to serve your country. Canada and the USA have had a great long-term relationship despite sometime differences. I'll bet you will serve well and proudly.

Question Help

I had a drug test today for College. if i fail i think i get kicked out of school. I drank 1 gallon of water last night and 1 gallon of water this morning, 4 hours before the test i ate 4 asprin and then 3 1/2 hours before the test i drank the strip natural cleanser detox drink with another 3 quarters of a gallon of water with another asprin. 1 hour before the test i threw up, but the detox drink said it starts to work in 30 min. so should that have already kicked in before i puked? the last time i smoked was 33 days ago, but i am 300 pounds and weed stays with me for a long time. please anyone help ease my worried mind.
