Hi all,
I recentrly had an interview at the local college. They never mentioned anything about a drug test during the interview. I then received a phone call 2 weeks later telling me the job is mine. They still didn't mention anything about a drug test. I worked at another university and I never got a piss test. I start my new job in 2 weeks. Do you think they would have told me that I needed to pass a drug test to be hired? I am just a little paranoid right now. I have 2 weeks to go till my first day, but I smoked last night. I smoke about a bowl everday. Do you think I will have to take a piss test? I just think they should have told me before hand that I need to pass a urine test. They never said anything. What do you think? Do I have time to clean out before then? I weigh about 175 pounds and I am 5"10. I am just really worrying because it is a good job. What do you think? Thanks for any feedback!

I think they would have me go to an outside agency to do it. I never had a test before so I don't know how easy it is to cheat. Like I said, they never mentioned anything about a test. I think I am just being paranoid because it is a good opportunity for me. I just think they would have told me about a pre-employment drug test. They just told me to come to work the day I am supposed to start. This is for an accounting job. I don't think there are many stoner accountants out there. Maybe that is why they don't test. I don't know. Did you ever hear of someone having to get a test to start a job when they weren't notified there would be one upon employment?

Tell them you can't go with some one watching. You're working in a University, I'm sure there's plenty of potheads going to school there.

Why don't you call the college and ask for a copy of the employee handbook. It should tell you in there what the rules are for random or pre-employment drug testing. If it is not covered in the handbook, they probably don't test. We do testing for a few colleges in the area, not all of them. They only test certain positions. Mostly the higher (no pun intended) positions, (Deans, etc.). They don't usually test the labor positions, unless you are driving a vehicle on the job.

Hello,
I didn't get **** in the mail yet. I talked to her over 2 weeks ago. I am very paranoid. I haven't smoked in 10 days and I start Tuesday. The last time I talked to her was when she offered me the job. She then told me I would get a packet in the mail and I would have to sign it to accept the job. I didn't get anything. I called her last Thursday and left a message telling her I didn't get it. I still didn't get it. What do you think? Also, what does quick fix do and where can you get it. The last thing she said to me was that she will see me Tuesday!

Call her back today, and let her know you still haven't received your hire package yet. The Holidays screw up the USPS delivery times. Tell her your mail carrier doesn't always bring your mail in a timely fashion.
