hey everyone, i have a drug test tomorrow for a health insurance plan that i received, and the lady is coming to my apartment to collect a urine and saliva sample. I know ill be fine with the saliva sample since i havent smoked since last sunday, but i know id fail the urine sample. I may be able to get someone to piss for me, but i wouldnt be able to get it in the morning because she is coming early, so i would have to worry about freezing it than reboiling it. I wanted to know if you thought dilution would work after only a week without smoking, or if you would recommend going with substitution. I dont think that she will be very strict or what not, since she is bring her little child with her as well. So i was just wondering if you thought dilution would work, or if I should go with substitution and how i would have to deal with keeping it over night and not spoiling. Thanks.

metabolism : average or a little slower
i usually smoke 2 or 3x a week, last time i smoked was friday and sunday 12/16 and 12/18 and it was a blunt and g bong hits of low mids outdoors

sub or get synthetic urine if you can find it....i highly doubt you'd get better than a "negative-dilute"

More then likely nothing, you can drink lots and lots of water which will dilute the sample, maybe goldenseal and yes, you could get someone else to pee for you. Marijuana stays is detectable in the urine for 30 days.

for overnight (or less than a week or two) it only needs refrigeration, not freezing. and NEVER BOIL it, try not to heat it past 110f max, but it must cool off to under 100f to be acceptable (best range 96-99f). then a heat pack can keep it proper for hours. just follow the methods & tips in the sticky threads at the top of this forum... everything you need to know about how to do it is right there. dilution can certainly work also, but should be practiced in advance and pretested with a home THC test, and intended as a backup plan just in case there's any problems with the subbing. but you're also supposed to start taking creatine supplement a few days in advance... have you? maybe stall it for a few days and reschedule it for monday or tues to prepare yourself better, maybe even get some synth online or from a headshop... maybe say you feel a nasty cold coming on overnight and you don't want to give them rhe germs. good luck

well I wasnt able to grab a substitute, so i did the dilution method. I had always taken creatine due to the fact that i weight lift a lot, so i was fine with that. I went into the bathroom and pissed midstream into the cup, and the piss was a very faint yellow. The lady went in there quickly, did soemthing, and poured out the piss. Im assuming that it wasnt a high quality test then, which means it probably has a lower chance to detect the THC. I took asprin over the morning at differet intervals, and the lady said my doctor would contact me if anything came up in the urine or saliva. Im assuming my chances are well, she didnt mention that the piss was almost perfectly clear or anything about it, im hoping that Santa will give me a nice clean negative test for christmas

edit: im assuming because they dont have the urine that they cant call it a dilute, so do you think i can start smoking again asap?

I'm just wondering what insurance company allows an employee or even a sub-contractor (agent) give a urine test at a private apartment, let alone with a child present. This is a job.

In my opinion it is really low to involve a child in the testing process whether thery are present during the test or whether you use a childs urine as a substitution. What do you tell the child when he/she asks why they are peeing in a cup?

Back to my original beef... call the insurance company and complain about the collector not acting in a professional manner. Doing the test on Christmas Eve, at your apartment with her kid present doesn't sound legit to me. There are protocol's and procedures we must follow to be legal and stand up to litigation (court). There is no way the collector could have secured the bathroom in a private home, and without cause, he/she could'nt observe. An insurance test is not probable cause (probation or bail is probable cause, btw).

When you said "the lady went in there and did something" What did she do? NEVER let your urine out of your site until the instant test is completed or until your urine is sealed in the vial, ready to transport to the lab. Why do you people trust the collector? This is YOUR URINE, YOUR TEST. Make sure at least to the extent you can, that you know what is happening. If you don't let your urine out of your site until it is sealed in the vial, and you have initialed the seal, you know there was no mix-up prior to sending to the lab. It would be a bi*ch to go to all that trouble diluting or substituting only to have it mixed up with some stupid person who didn't dilute, sub, etc...

Pay attention people!!! Know your rights and responsibilities. Trust no one, least of all some low paid collector in a clinic. (By the way, I am part owner of our business).

Just re-read the entire thread, Why saliva AND urine. thats overkill. What info are you giving to your insurance company (what else are they testing for?).

I contacted my insurance company, and the only reason im not complaining is because i passed . But the urine sample was a dipstick in the bathroom which i passed thanks to the dilution, and the saliva sample was to test for HIV/AIDS to determine the prices for my policy. All she did was ask me if i smoked and i said no, and she checked down no on the file.
