Default Read Almost Everything, but Still Unsure

Just the facts.

I must submit a urine and blood test for an insurance policy (paid for by employer) in five days. I can't put the test off and I can't substitute. At that time it will have been seven days since smoking. Smoke about one to one and a half per week.

From reading, I'm pretty sure the blood test will be o.k. with a week off, but the urine test is more problematic. I'm prepared for the dilution/aspirin technique and already practicing. Yes, I'm an idiot and bought the "magic cures" as well, but I REALLY don't want to lose the job. I suppose I'll have to assign the cost to either a learning experience, or the most expensive test strips ever purchased since I got some of those as well.

So what I'm doing is practicing dilution using cranberry juice, apple juice, water, and think I should probably add gatorade/powerade. I'll make sure I add the B Vitamins as well.

Here's my plan for each day leading up to the test.
Start like everyday is a test day and do the dilution aspirin thing as described in multiple posts. Continue to take the idiot stuff I bought (it can't do anything to hurt the outcome I figure).

My question is if I can further dilute the sample with body temperature (95 - 100) water (should it be distilled if I can get it or is tap water or bottled water better)

Although it may be overkill, but is there anything I've forgotten??

Thanks in advance and sorry for the length of the post.

Why can't you substitute?

Forget about adding any water (regardless of configuration) to your sample. That can make the results come back as "too dilute", or worse, a "substituted specimen" depending on how low the creatnine level had dropped. Creatnine levels between 2 -20 ng is considered "too dilute". Levels less than 2 ng is ruled "not consistent with human urine (aka substituted specimen)".

Besides, if you are brave enough to sneak in some bottled water to dilute your sample, then you are brave enough to sneak in a substituted sample.

Default Don't Overkill

Eat large, and be a slob.... that will stop any metabolites from excessively being generated... So, start eating at McD's 3 meals a day...lay on that goood clean fat....

Second, don't practise....won't do any good, until test day. The whole idea, is to overload the kidneys, bladder, so that , what you are taking is what they get...not what has accumilated.... so, don't kill yourself...just start eating big mac's, chocolate shakes....

Pig Out, get lazy, and lay off the smoke... Dilute the day of test, you should be okay.

Am I reading that correctly? You smoke an ounce to an ounce and a half of marijuana a week?

I'd think that you'd have such high concentrations of THC metabolites in your body that no dilution technique would get you low enough to pass a UA in 7 days without getting creatinine and and specific gravity out of range.

You say the test is for an employer sponsored insurance policy. Ask what specifically they will be testing for. Tell them you are interested in what information any insurance company may have regarding your health records. Could be they won't even test for drugs. They only might be interested in your cholesterol, blood glucose level, kidney disease, etc.

Probably I am wrong, given that you will be taking a urine test along with a blood test. It's good to ask anyway.

you'd have found the keyboard...just wouldn't know what to do with it!

PS - substitution can be done with synthetic urine...it's a winner every time from what i've heard from everyone here!

I'd thought of that as well. You'd think that the insurance company would just say insurable or not, but I have the idea that the results will be reported to the employer specifically.
I suppose the best course is to ask, but frankly I have a feeling the person doing the EKG, Blood, and Urine tests won't even know and asking the employer looks bad. I may call the company administering the policy beforehand, but again sounds risky, especially if i ever want to smoke again.
Gotta love the freedom we have in this fine country.
