Hi.... Great forum. I just took a urine test (says 35190w sap 10-50/2000 w/nit). Not sure what kind of test this is but it's not what I'm use to seeing.Anyways I had a really really hard time finding someone to give a sample for me (that was clean) and the one I got was an insufficient amount and I still wasn't 100% sure it was clean. So as I have done many times before in this curcumstance (and passed) I diluted the sample when I first recieved it to make at least 2 oz. . Then much to my surprise I was denied the job before I was able to take the test. So knowing I still needed to get a job I froze the sample to keep it from going bad. 1 week later I had another job opportunity that required a urine test and thawed out the sample only to discover that now it took on a strange off-yellow color and I had to be at the hospital in 30 minutes so I franticly tried to come up with a way to return it to it's normal color so I put 1 small drop of food coloring in the sample which made it look normal again. The ingredients in the food coloring is ( water, propylene glycol, 4% minimum FD&C yellow #5, and propylparaben (a preservative) ) . Now given that the sample is clean , the ph, temperature, specific gravity, and creatine levels are within limits, do you think that the food coloring will cause me to fail. My guess is yes but then again I couldn't find and answer anywhere on the web and I am a pessimist.

My vote is yes, If you don't fail the specific gravity, your substitute will fail one of the adulterant tests.

Yeah, I'll keep you all posted on what happens. I go to work there in the morning and I bet by tuesday they yank me out and hand me my walking papers. It was worth a shot though. Sad thing is I had a woman that I could certify was clean that was willing to piss for me but I didn't do it because a bunch of idiots in the same room said that they could determine sex. After much research I found out that thats not true and now am skrewed because of it. They need to put that on mythbusters.

Well the unexpected happend instead. Turns out even diluted to the max the 8 year old that pissed for me was dirtier than I would have been had I took the test legit. They said the amount of chemical that they checked for was over a dozen times the minimum and said nothing of diluting. That was the last thing I expected to hear. I guess it's a sign of the times. I thought I was super young when I started smoking at the age of 12. The job sucked anyway.. oh well, live and learn
