Hello all.

What a great resource this place is. I've been here for the past 5 hours reading. So great to find this forum, with intelligent, knowledgable, and helpful folks who have cut through all the bull****.

After being unemployed for some time, out of the blue I was contacted about an EXCELLENT job. I went in to interview yesterday, and it went very well. Went back in today, and they offered me the job, with an amazing compensation package. Of course, this is contigent upon passing a drug test.

My start date is Monday, January 23rd, and I need to get the test before then, which means I'll be taking it Friday the 20th to give me the largest window.

The last time I smoked was Saturday, January 8. Prior to that, I had smoked 7-8 times a month for the previous few months. I'm 28 y/o, male, 175 lbs., medium-fast metabolism, exercise very rarely.

So, I'll have 12 days clean on the day of the test. I have read both Dilution method threads, and it has been heartening to see the number of people who have used the methods successfully. This knowledge will help me sleep tonight, and save me $$$ on the "magic detox" drinks I almost bought today. I have been very, very anxious these past couple of days.

I plan on using N2's method, with the addition of Rolaids/Tums, aspirin, Gatorade, salt, and some Emergency-C. I plan to practice the regimen next week to make sure I've got it down.

My question is, aside from not smoking(!), what should I be doing in the next 7 days. Diet, exercise, prayer techniques, etc.

Do my chances look good? All I've wanted the past 2 days is for someone to tell me that this is going to work out. I recognize it's a little silly, but I can't help it. I really, really need this job.

I've taken many urine tests and nomatter what method you use to clean your urine (especially those rip-off detox drinks) , having only 12 days clean your still very likely to fail. Not saying it's impossibal to pass but I've tried every method on this site to clean my urine and have even been clean over a month and still failed. Your best bet is to substitute it with another sample and carry it in with you. It's the only ABSOLUTE way to pass with no worries given that the sample is clean. But who knows maybe all those gimmicks will work for you. But I ALWAYS failed using them and despite my name I'm usually not a heavy smoker.

Man, I hate to hear that. I was feeling pretty confident after reading many many testimonials on this site about people who have used the dilution methods outlined here successfully. Many of whom were heavier smokers than me and who had less clean time.

If I sound like I'm trying to convince myself, I am, but I'd sure love some backup on this.

I just don't know if I'm cut out for the substitution method. It makes me really, really nervous.

Keep in mind that sometimes they watch to make sure you aren't trying anything funny. When I had mine the door was open and the chick was like right there, so watch yourself...

If they want to watch you pee for a job (let alone by a woman) I would tell them to go F themselves. Unless your on supervised probation or parol they have absolutly no right to watch you. After dozens of tests I've taken I've never been watched nor would I allow myself to be. Dirty or clean it's an invasion of privacy far beyong what their doing by giving you the drug test to begin with.

Its extremely unlikely that you'll be watched on a pre-employment drug test. Observed testing is generally for court-ordered probation, military, and for persons suspected of tampering with a previous sample. In job-related situations, if in the event that an observed collection does take place, the observer must be of same gender as the donor. No exceptions.

lew scannon is absolutely right. There is NEVER an instance where the opposite sex is allowed to observe a void. Even if the observer is a doctor, it just isn't allowed in ANY situation.

The Donor must be allowed privacy if there is no cause for observation. Even during a monitored collection, the stall door is required to be closed.
