Hi yall, Since this is my first time going for a UA test, can anyone tell me what the normal protocol is once you arrive there in terms of searching your pockets and patting down etc. The reason I ask this is because I have decided to not take any chances and sub with some clean urine using in a 3 fl oz container snuggly stored in my crotch area. I did a test run last nite and did notice that if I do get patted down there may be some chance of detecting the container. My test is the standard preemployment kind and is conducted by Qwest labs. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks everyone.

No they can not touch you. They just have you empty all of your pockets and thats it. Glad to hear you are doing dry runs to practice the temp, you will not be sorry. 3 oz is a good amount as some employers want more than 45 ml [2 oz]

Hawg is spot-on.
The collector may have you empty pockets and remove excess clothing (ie jackets). Thats all.
Since you are taking a drug test for a job, and not a criminal under arrest, the collectors are not authorized to frisk you. This constitutes "groping", and is against the law.

Know your rights and dont be afraid to assert them.

if you came up diluted on your first test, would the protocol change? If the first one was unobserved, would the second be observed simply because you were diluted?

I came up diluted and they called me to come back but the protocol was EXACTLY the same as the first. Nothing at all changed from the first time I took it. The called me on Fri and I took it Mon morning same technician took my urine and everything.
