Last Thursday I had to take a pre-employment drug test for a huge IT company. I bought the Strip NC drink before the test and followed the directions. Today, almost a week later, I received a call from the lab saying that the sample was diluted because the specific gravity was off? I have to take another one on 1/30/06. I usually smoke about once a day and just smoked last night. Obviously I'm nervous about trying the dilution method again. I really need this job as I have been looking since July.
I will be taking an unsupervised test and was thinking about substituting. I was thinking about buying this product.

I just wanted to get some opinions and tips. It would be greatly appreciated as I really need this job. Not to mention that my wife will kill me if I don't get this position.

I think substitution is the best way to go. 1/30/06 is pretty soon.

In the future, if you need to dilute, make sure you eat a lot of red meat and/or take creatine supplements to keep the specific gravity high. Vitamin supplements also help, and B vitamins will keep the color yellow.

Thanks for the reply. I will have to do the substitution. In regards to the product I was thinking of getting, do you think that I will be able to maintain the correct temperature by keeping the bottle up against my body? ...though it does come with a heater. I just want to ensure that the temp is correct.

As far as specific gravity levels....is that what creatine does? Keeps the SG levels where they are supposed to be? I mistakenly thought that by drinking the Strip NC drink it would have taken care of that. The drink contained 1000mg of creatine. I also took 6 aspirin and 2 Centrum multi-vitamins before taking the test.

You may want to consider using sythetic urine. I'm a two-time sub club member (both in the last 6 months) and it worked like a charm for me. I learned how to do it by this website and everyone's help... just a thought.

Creatnine and specific gravity levels are checked together to determine if a sample is too diluted.
According to current regulations, a sample is ruled "too diluted" when the creatinine level is between 2-20 ng, and the specific gravity is between 1.0010-1.0030 (now read digitally in four decimal places).

Thanks for the clarification. I guess I was mistaken thinking that 1000mg of creatine would suffice. Maybe it would have if I didn't drink so much water.

Well I received the Quick Fix in the mail and will be going to take the test tomorrow. Hopefully everything will go as I plan.
Still a bit nervous about making sure the temp is correct but hopefully the heating element that came with it does the trick.
I'll post back with the results. If I don't that means my wife killed me.
