Hey experts, please let me know if my substitution plan below will work and take a stab at my questions at the bottom.

I am 25yr old male old, 6'2, 200lbs. I got about 5oz of clean urine in an 8 oz plastic bottle from a 35yr old male co-worker of mine. I had the urine at room temp for about 5 hours before I placed it in the freezer.

I'm taking the urine test for a new job, and the employer is in a different city, so they are supposed to mail me the paperwork to take the test. Because of this, I don't know when I will actually have to go take the test, but I am expecting it in the next 2 days.

Anyways, I plan on placing the plastic bottle in my crotch under 2 pairs of underwear. I have a digital human therm to test the temp, but it makes short beeps.

Here are my Questions:
1) Is the urine OK to use, if I had it at room temp for 5 hours before freezing?
2) How long prior to the test should I take the frozen urine out to thaw and begin heating it to body temp?
3) Is there ALWAYS a therm on the test cup? I am asking so I know whether or not to bring my therm with me to the test room
4) Is 5 oz of urine enough? Or should I get some more from him?
5) Should I be concerned about someone listening at the door for the sound of me pissing in the cup? Or the sound of me pouring something into a cup, for that matter.
6) If I don't take the test for another 24-72 hours, will the urine still be good. Keep in mind it was at room temp for 5 hours before freezing.
7) How likely is it I will have to wear a robe? Again, this is a pre-employment screening.

I did read the substitution thread. The questions I listed listed were all ones that were not given a definate answer, or one that I did not fully understand the answer to.

1. The urine is ok to use. the collections that I take sit in my office until the delivery guy comes once per day to take them away, then they go to the airport to be overnighted to a lab. they sit at room temp, I dont freeze or refrigerate them.
2. I cannot answer this one.
3. There is a temp strip on all the cups I use. It doesn't hurt to bring your own and remove it prior to giving your sample to the collector.
4. 5 oz is more than enough. You should only need at the most 3 oz.
5. We listen for UNUSUAL sounds. Sometimes we cannot hear anything, and that is not unusual. Sounds of velcro, celophane, paper tearing, little electronic beeps, etc. are unusual sounds, expecially if we have asked you to empty your pockets of your cell phone, pda, pagers, etc.

7. For pre-employment, if a non-DOT test is not done at the time of the pre-employment physical, you will not be asked to disrobe. They cannot frisk you, they can only ask you to empty your pockets of everything except your wallet which you may keep with you. If you are doing a pre-employment physical at the same time, the doc or nurse may just ask you to give your specimen while you already wearing the little paper robe.

1 More Question: The bottle I have the urine stored in was a plastic 8oz Vanilla Extract bottle, that I cleaned out with a thorough rinsing with hot water.

This bottle has card-board insulation in the cap, and leftover aluminum around the bottle rim from the aluminum seal. The aluminum is glued on so well I cant scrape it off.

Is it possible that either the aluminum or any left over resude in the cardboard cap seal will contaminate the urine?

kmerenda, i think you are too paranoid.. you should be okay. aluminum is not going to change the content of your piss. when i subbed, the thing i was more worried about was the quality of the sub. do you know for sure if your sub is clean? what if the person takes OTC's that might trigger a false positive? the whole sub routine (pun intended for programmers like myself) is very easy and kinda fun (except for the crouching part). if you know for certain that the pee is good and you are a sneaky ninja like myself then you shouldn't have ANY worries. tell us how you did!

Vanilla has detectable traits. There are people in AA that use it to Fix Their Heads. They also will drink After Shave Lotion. This could be a problem, unless you washed out the bottle.

I washed the bottle out thoroughly with hot water, but the cardboard liner in the bottle cap was not rinsed as well, because as I rinsed it, the liner began to fall apart, and I didn't want pieces of cardboard floating in the sample.

How does that sound?

Sounds laughable.
Just get a 2.0 0z bottle of shampoo and rinse it out.

yea really. that should be the least of your problems. if you need the piece of mind, find or buy a better bottle. get one that uses thin clear plastic with no loose materials or metal thingys. good luck!
