I have a preemployment test at Concentra Monday (1/30). I've smoked heavily for years then quit 6 months ago until 2 weeks ago when I started 2-3 time a day until now. I've not smoked today and started drinking water to excess. I'm 6', 230 lbs (a little over weight) and walk on a treadmill 2-3 times a week at a pretty good pace. I've read N2's dilution solution and was planning on following it. Several friends swear by 'Total Eclipe' pills and told me I'm crazy for trying dilution.

What is your take on my situation and please include any advice. Thanks so much!

There's no point in drinking a lot of water until the night before the test at the earliest.

There is nothing, I repeat, nothing that removes THC metabolites from your system, other than time and exercise. You can spend $50 - $100 on "magic drinks" and not do any better than you could with vitamins, aspirin, and Gatorade. Many people do worse because of the false claims of the manufacturers. People who have applied for their money back are usually told that they must have done something wrong for the stuff to fail.

Given how much you've been smoking lately, two days of abstinence before the test is not likely to be enough. You can follow the dilution protocol and hope for the best or set up to do a substitution. Substitution techniques always work, but take some practice and can't be used in a closely observed test. Pre-emp tests are not usually observed.

Thanks for the prompt response. A couple questions;

1) IF I could delay the test what would you guess to be a min. amount of time?
2) If I successfully pass a home test (First Check) should I anticipate good results with the real test?
3) Sub is not an option at this point and if I must take the test Mon (1/30), what would you recommend?
