| Hi all. I followed guidelines shown on this message board. I abstained for about two weeks before my urine test. It was an emit test through Labcorp for pre-employment drug screening. I smoked approximately 4 times a week, sometimes more, sometimes less, sometimes not all, four the last few years. I am a 25-year-old female, 135 lbs., with a moderate metabolism, who exercises about three times a week. I did not have time to load up on creatine...unfortunately I didn't find this web site until just a day before the test. I was going to substitute, but got too nervous I wouldn't get the temperature right. Needless to say, I ate a good amount of red meat the day before the test; then drank a total of 2 32 oz's of Gatorade, at 8 oz's at a time, for three hours before the test, with a few glasses of water also. I put about a tablespoon of salt in the liquid. I also took a total of 5 extra-strength aspirin's over the course of 6 hours before the test; and took 3 to 4 tums; every hour leading up to the test. I also took a b-2 vitamin an hour and a half before the test; and a multi-vitamin two hours before the test. When I took the test my color was vitamin yellow, a little neon, but not too bad. I took the test 9 days ago and had heard nothing from anyone. I figured I was probably fine, but have still abstained up to this point. My possible future employer contacted me to find out if I had taken the test, because they hadn't received the results. I said that I had, and she said she'd get back to me when she got them. Is this unusual for the test to be taking this long? I contacted the MRO and they said the lab hadn't sent my results to them yet? Please advise. Thanks. |

| If the MRO hasn't received the results after 2-3 days at the LATEST, then someone screwed up and "lost" your test. It sometimes takes the MRO 10 days or so to contact a donor if there is a banned substance detected or other problem with the specimen, but the MRO should receive the results from the lab with-in 2-3 days at the latest. It was either entered into the database incorrectly (typo) at the lab, or it may have been destroyed during shipping, or it just plain got misplaced. Hopefully your employer won't have you re-test. (Keep abstaining until you find out for sure). You should contact your future employer and ask when you can start work (don't mention to the employer that you called the MRO). This might light a fire under the HR person and get you some answers. Another possibility is that the employer got a positive drug result for your test and he/she just doesn't have the (testosterone/estrogen) to tell you the truth so he/she is just ignoring you. |
