| Here is the pertinent timeline. -Day 1: Smoked a small sized bowl of medium grade marijuana for the first time in many months - Abstained for the next couple of weeks -About 2 weeks later (1/15/06): Smoked a medium sized bowl of medium grade marijuana -(2/17/06) Had to give a labcorp UA test. However, the program used to relay urine to labcorp was able to convince them to drop the cut off levels from 50nm to 10nm. I am not sure how much this affects its detectability- I have heard rumors of someone taking one or two hits and then taking this same test a week later and clearing it. I had to urinate first thing in the morning, with no flushing or such activity. Labcorp's site says they can detect 1-2 joints approximately 3-5 days after using, but this is at 50nm. What are the chances that my test will be clear Any ideas here? |

| Even though the nationwide standard is 50nm and this test is being run at 10nm... I hope you are right, but if not, I'm in it deep. More thoughts welcome/appreciated. |

| Did you try testing yourself before the real test?

BTW: The person(s) (program) used to relay the urine to labcorp did not determine the cut-off level of THC for the test. The organization PAYING for the test was the one who sets the criteria for the test. Also, they did not need to convince LabCorp to do anything. If they ask and pay for a specific test, that's what they get. We are talking about 3 separate entities here: The Collector, the Laboratory and the organization for whom you tested. The latter sets ALL the rules. | |

| Please HELP! I urinated Friday morning (2-17) and the sample was taken that day to the organization that sends the screens on to Labcorp. I do not know if the sample was sent out on Friday or Saturday. In the past, when they have been negative, I have heard nothing about the test results. So, I'm trying to find out when I would hear if they were to be positive. Here is what I've found: Samples that test negative for all drugs will typically be reported within 24 hours from the time of receipt into the laboratory. In cases where the sample tests positive for one or more drugs, the results can be expected within 48- 72 hours from receipt at the Laboratory. This additional time represents the time necessary to conduct quantitative confirmation on the GC/MS. The LabCorp receiving laboratories operate Tuesday through Saturday. I live in Alpaharetta, GA, about 15 minutes from Atlanta- I do not know if there is a receiving center there or if it has to travel farther. So what I'm wondering is, and I would love any ideas to help me from freaking out anymore, when I would (have) hear(d) from Labcorp? Please HELP! |

| Your reporting times found during your research are correct. You should have heard by now (Thursday) if you had tested positive. There is a fly in the ointment though... there are two holidays this week: Presidents Day and Washington's Birthday. We don't take time off at our office for those holidays, but the lab or the employer for whom you took the test might have observed those holidays. That would delay the reporting back to you. It's a bummer, but it is just a waiting game. As far as the location of the lab, urine specimens are transported by overnight courrier. So, if you live 15 minutes, or 1500 miles from the lab, they should get there next day. The labs also have receiving on weekends, so if you gave your sample on Friday, the lab would have received it on Saturday. MRO's do not usually work weekends though, so it would be at least Monday before a MRO reviewed the test (Tuesday if the MRO observed Presidents Day). Hope this helps. |
