| Whats happinin all? I couldnt really find a more suitable place for this thread so here goes. I live in michigan and recently got busted for possesion. I have never been involved in the legal/probation system. My question is, how long after my court date will my drug tests commence. |

| since this is your first time messing with the legal system you probably won't have to take any drug tests. you might have to pay a fine and possibly get some probation or some other minor form of punishment. i can't promise no tests but it doesn't seem likely to me. |

| You should take a look at NORML's chart of Michigan marijuana laws.

| Hello, I was in your situation a few months ago, just recently busted for my first time offense. I got off with pre-trial diversion (basically probation) and started it a couple of months ago. From the time I was busted in Oct, it took until Dec for me to get into the pre trial program (im in Texas). Things differ from state to state, but I smoked a few times after I was busted, up until a month before my pre-trial diversion was to start. I've been on the program for two months now, and they have not called me in for a drug test. I've been good, doing all my CS and classes, and they have not bugged me at all. Now, I'm not stupid, and I do not plan on starting again until I'm done with the program, but I do wonder if they are going to test me, I've been sober this whole time, it'd be nice to get something out of it! Anyway, If you were just recently busted (within a month or so) you might be ok, but if you want to be safe then obviously just lay off it. |
