| Today I passed my pre-screen urine test. I want to thank everyone here who contributed all this good advice.I used the dilluted method. I drank 2/ 24 oz gatorade. some rolaids and aspirin. Took a few vitimain B Complex and I was good to go. I walked into the lab, had to remover everything from my pockets.went into bathroom to pee in a cup. The B-complex did make the urine a nice color. I also dressed rather nice and too be honest with you it helped, rather then look like a bum. The test came out negetive, they also did a dip stick and checked for adulterated stuff and found none. I was clean for 12 days before this test. I had smoked everyday for 2 years straight. I also had tested myself at home and it did help me relax from the stress of "what if I failed etc". | I thought I would provide more detailed info on my urine test experience. There are 6 choices in types of test that the screener must check off.Pre-employment,random,reasonable cause,post-accident,return to work,and other. Mine was a pre-employment test,and this is what was checked off. This was a 5 panel test. They tested for Cocaine,Amphetamine,Marijuana,Opiates.PCP.All these were checked off negetive. There also was a box for lab tech to check off. This included ,temperature taken within(4) minutes, temperature within range of (90F-100F), Adulerated Specimen,and collector remarks. I did pass and start my new job in two weeks. ![]() |

| You had an instant test, described perfectly, although your test was probably not done by a "lab tech", it was done by a Certified Collector - but thats a minor point. It really does help if you dress appropriatly for the drug test. The drug test is a part of the pre-employment process, the same as the interview. If you come in wearing pajama bottoms and slippers (Don't laugh, it's happened), or totally grungy, and are rude, I WILL report to your prospective employer your attitude and appearance. Dress as you did for the interview. - AND BE POLITE!! |

| Hello, as everyone knows, there are many steps to passing a urine test. I took the advice of one of the threads to dress nice. I'll tell you why it worked. Perception is everything.These lab/urine collectors are human.Just like if your urine is too clear( not yellow enough) they can assume you have dilluted. If you dress uo and not look like a bum,The perception is that you don't do drugs,you are a business professional. After the lab person took my urine and tested negetive, she did the follow-up test for dillution etc. I know for a fact that she quickly glanced at the test strip and threw away.I think it was because I looked like a manager. It's like racial profiling. She assumed because I was dressed nice,how could test be wrong,Had I dressed more casual, I'll bet she would have assumed differently and spent more time studying the results of test strip. |

| I don't believe it is RACIAL profiling, it is just common sense. If you see a 90 year old lady on the street, are you going to assume she may attack you? What if you see 3-4 gangbangers staring at you? Your appearance and attitude say a LOT about you. Same difference. If you see someone who looks and smells bad, talks rough and is rude, you will react to them in kind. If you see someone who takes the time to mind his/her appearance, is considerate and cooperative, you may relax a bit and be less "on guard" (more friendly if you will). If, for example, you are applying at Target. They send you to my facility to test and you are rude, dirty and disgusting in your appearance, I WILL report to the HR at the Target store you are applying to. The administration at that store depend on my services to report behavior that is undesirable for an associate. If someone is rude to me, what will they be like to the customers? Everyone is on their best behavior during an interview. The Management would like to know what the applicant is like when interacting with other co-workers and service agents (like me). It has nothing to do with whether you are "on drugs" or not. It is simply a matter of whether you are right for the job or not and whether the collector can work in a professional manner with someone who is resentful, bitter, mean, has a bad attitude and takes his/her frustration out on the collector because he/she doesn't think that drug testing is right. |

I can understand this making you suspicious in a biggoted profiling type of way, but that should only make you thouroughly do your job to test the sample for dilution and adulteration, not make you think you are somehow involved in the hiring process at the job place. You are hired by an employer to perform a task, not to be involved in the decision making process beyond delivering results of said test. | |
