Hey! I just flew all the way to Toronto to buy the UTest urine self-tester kits and also the Stat! Emergency Flush. I tested negative, which made me happy, but then I just had a friend take a test. He is a regular smoker 2-3 times daily - and just smoked heavily last night. He tested negative too! WTF???

I need an explanation fast! I need to do a court-ordered test here and I can't seem to get an honest answer. Rest assured that if I don't start getting some straight answers I will make sure that no one else buys this junk and gets themselves hurt by what seems to be bogus products!!!

Why fly all the way to Toronto to get a test kit and a dilution brew? You could pick them up at the local Walgreen's.

Purchase another test kit, a different brand, and try again. I don't know about this particular brand, but most home test kits are pretty accurate.

Oh, and save your money-- you don't need a "flush" drink to dilute.

If your local drugstores don't carry test kits you can order them cheap from eBay. Also, the detox drinks/pills are a ripoff.

There is nothing, I repeat, nothing that removes THC metabolites from your system, other than time and exercise. You can spend $50 - $100 on "magic drinks" and not do any better than you could with vitamins, aspirin, and Gatorade. Many people do worse because of the false claims of the manufacturers. Ok, look, I am not too concerned about the money I wasted on the flush kits, I am concerned about the TESTING KITS and whether or not they are accurate. THAT is what is concerning me right now. I live in a Caribbean country and testing kits for private use are completely ILLEGAL here, believe it or not. I went to a 'reputable' Canadian company where I am from that sold me the test kits.

The judge in my child custody case said I had to do random testing, based on my ex's wild accusations against me in her affidavit. Later that day, I said I had to go to Canada for a family emergency. My ex was freaking out saying I needed to take the test before I left the island. I was told that the court would contact me when it was time to do the test, however social services said I would create some suspicion if I did not do the test voluntarily before I left, due to my ex phoning everyone on the island and saying I was trying to flee. So I went and paid for the test at the lab and got my receipt and walked straight out the back door. No one noticed me and everyone assumes I took the test.

I went to Canada to get "flushed" and to buy some home test kits. Here's what happened with the home testing of me and a couple of friends:

I haven't been able to get through on the phone with the head shop I bought the test kits from, but here's what I've found:

- When I search for "UTest" (the brand of the test I bought) all I get is resellers like THC (where I bought the tests) and no web site for UTEST themselves.

- The clerk at THC that I bought from told me that the "UTest" is the only home drug screening product they are selling

- I called the 1-877-660-8378 number on the package for UTest and told the guy I spoke to about my chronic buddy and he said that 1 out of 100 people will test negative every time, that THC doesn't stick to them, and they are the "lucky ones". He further said that the danger with testing is that one day you may show totally clean and the next day come up positive, your body randomly decides when to release THC into the blood and the urine. This sounded like total bullshit to me!

- The test directions say the following:

Negative: Two lines appear. One red line next to the "C" and another red or pink line next to the "T"
Positive: Only one red line appears next to the "C"
*NOTE: The shade of the test line may vary, but it should be considered negative whenever there is even a faint pink line

I haven't smoked in 8 days. On Sunday and this morning (Tuesday) my test came out with one solid red line and one pink/red, almost-solid line.

- Chronic buddy tested, and he had solid red line, with very faint pink line
- Semi-chronic buddy just tested (very overweight, last good smoke 3 days ago), and he came up with the solid red line, and super-faint, almost non-existent pink line. Nevertheless the test says consider it negative if even a faint line.

The point is, I cannot be sure that my negative is really a negative, and I have to go take my REAL test SOON!
