what up peepz... i gotta question see if anyone can ease my mind... i got arrested in january for possesion of pot and carrying concealed weapon. about five days after that i stopped smoking (awaiting court date and trying to find a better job)...well i found a bomb ass job that i really want and its been almost two months since i stopped smoking. i went and took a pre employment drug test, me being worried i drank a WHOLE bunch of water before hand and i hate to tell you... DRINKING WATER DOES NOT HELP... they called me and told me i have to go and pee again because the sample was diluted. so i went and took it again today not drinking any water. i was wondering if yall would think id be clean im supposed to find out tomorrow but its killing me to know i really want this job. they sent it to some lab, not a simple dipstick test. what yall think? let me know please.

I think you should be fine. But that really depends on your history. I have heard of people taking up to 60 days to get clean. I think I even read on here that someone had taken even longer than that. Not to scare you but it really depends on the individual. Like if you carry alot of body fat, if you smoked alot in the past (everyday and multiple times and quality of weed).

Also, it is in your best interest to delay any court dates until you have the job. Sometimes (about 50/50) arrests and citations won't be reportable on a background check, but 100% of dispositions are reportable. Don't let your court case be decided until AFTER you have a job offer.

preciate what yall are sayin.. ive already been offered the job, i start tuesday of next week if the drug test come back clean

I also think your test will be clean. And just for your info, drinking water does help, but if you just drink water without the proper increase in solute intake as well ,you'll come back diluted like you did. Check out the Dilution stickies here to learn more about dilution for next time.

im supposed to hear from them today i think... if i dont hear from them should i try to call them to see whats up? or would that look suspicious?

I'd wait until at least tomorrow. That gives them all day today (which is when they said they would call you) and Friday is a great day to call cuz it is the end of the week. Everyone is in a good mood.

If you just took the re-test yesterday, it will take until late afternoon to get it through the reporting channels anyway. Patients is a virtue.

i just want to say thanks for the support... they called me a couple minutes ago and told me the was no problem.. I START TUESDAY!.. dont know if i should smoke or stay clean for a while... i got court here in a couple of months any more suggestions? once again THANK YOU.

Congratulations on your new job. As far as the court thing, I really don't know about that. I guess if it was me I would stay clean till all of that is over with, especially if it is for drugs, or child custody.
