Probably the reason it was adulterated is because you overdid the dilution. You drank too much fluid, and did not insure you had enough creatine, B2 and sodium included in your intake. The next test should be easier. At least now you do not have as high of level of THC in your system as you did then and you are familiar with the procedure. What you really need to do is study the dilution techniques like your step-daughter's life depends on it. Weed out the inconsistant advice and just follow the advice of those with a great deal of experience on this site like the long time posters of over 1000 posts. (yea, I know, I don't have 1000 posts credited to me yet). There is plenty of really detailed, good advice on how to dilute properly. I think it will work for you. p.s. I'm impressed you quit smoking while all this turmoil is occuring in your life. That is a very good decision on your part and shows you are dedicated to your step-daughter's well being.

| I always thought if it came back adulterated it was considered as a positive and they would not accept it.

You are right Hawg. When MrsJane said she "passed" but it was adulterated and she needed to re-test, I assumed she really meant that she was "negative dilute". (Of course you and I both know what happens when we "assume". It usually makes an ASS of U & ME). If it had been found to be adulterated and therefore postitive, she would not be allowed a re-test. I might have assumed too much here. MrsJane, if you could clarify, that would be a good thing.

All she said was that everything was negative but it showed that it was adulterated, and that I may have to go to my Dr to re-test if they request it when she does her staff meeting with Im guessing the head CPS people. I did the ready clean as my cleansing method. Maybe they could tell I used a temporary blocker?! She said she would let me know after her meeting. I took several home test and the only ones that I passed is when I used the ready clean. Maybe I should have done the methods that were suggested. It's my own fault. I have never in my life had to do any type of drug test nor had to deal with CPS. I just know that I am about to go insane with all this BS that is going on with court and CPS. I have sworn off MJ. Look where it has gotten me, with tons of headaches and GRAY hair all at the tender age of 30. Oh well live and learn... My ? is what will CPS do if they do find MJ.

Typical. Thats what happens when CPS or law enforcement tries to do testing. She (the CPS case worker) is trying to tell you about your drug test and she doesn't even understand it herself. You have a right to the report. You should be able to request a copy of the report, but I know you don't want to be all that assertive towards CPS lest you might create more headache. Perhaps your lawyer could get clear answers for you.Basically, you have several possibilities of what your results actually were: Positive Dilute Negative Dilute Adulterated (therefore positive) If she said it was negative but adulterated, I am (assuming) that you have a negative dilute and the stupid case worker doesn't know the difference between diluted and adulterated. You cannot have an "adulterated negative". That is just not one of the possibilities in the realm of drug testing. The term "adulterated" means it was tampered with or otherwise altered in an attempt to mask drug use and detection. For example, the specific gravity, ph level or creatinine level was so far outside the normal range for human urine it is determined not to be human. If a specimen is determined to be adulterated it is automatically reported as positive. Negative dilute means that a specimen has screened negative for a banned substance, but the specific gravity, ph level or creatinine level was outside the normal range for human urine (but not so far outside the normal range to be determined not to be human). Positive dilute means the specimen has screened positive for a banned substance AND the specific gravity, ph level or creatinine level was outside the normal range for human urine (but not so far outside the normal range to be determined not to be human). If I have mis-spoken, please someone correct me, but that is why I think that if they say MrsJane tested negative, but adulterated, she really has a "negative dilute" result. If they are going to test you, they could at least get the terminology correct. What I told you before still stands. If they are giving you another chance to test, be sure you do the dilution correctly.
