I took a home test today.One of the tests you put the test in the urine for 10-15 seconds at room temp.and after 5 minutes you read the results.I got a line in the control area and a faint line in the test area.It says even a faint line should be read as a negative.Also I read on here that any line is considered a negative.What are your opinions on this.Thanks!

A faint line is accurate for that level of test called out in the kit.
There's no guarantee that's what you'll be tested at, unless you know that now in advance. If it's for pre employment, that is generally the same level.

A line is a line, which is negative. If the test you are taking is a DOT test then it is a 50ng cutoff just like the home test. But like FX said there is no garuntee that will be the same cutoff as your test as some employers set them to what they want. My cousin sets his at 100 ng for THC for his construction company, sure his INS. is a little higher but he figures his workers are happier that way and they show thier apprication by busting there ass for him and doing a good job.
