If your first test was negative, and you tested for the company who offered you the position, I don't see why they would test you again. A drug test and a pre-employment physical are two VERY different things. I think they just drug test prior to any interviews. If you had failed a drug test, they would have moved on to the next candidate.

I agree with you. I know other drugs aren't susposed to me mentioned, but someone said that they test for alcohol during the physical. What types of tests do they perform (blood, urine) and what is the detection time? If you don't want to mention it here, can you PM me?

Alcohol is not tested USUALLY for pre-employment. Basically because alcohol is a legal drug and during a pre-employment interview, you are not on the employers payroll. As long as you are not noticibly drunk or smell of alcohol during the interviews, you should be good.

That being said, I DO have clients who prefer to test for alcohol during a pre-employment testing session. They figure if a candidate is going to drink prior to participating in the pre-employment process, there would be no reason the candidate would not drink prior to coming in to work.

They do not test for alcohol during the physical. Remember, I said drug testing (including alcohol) and a pre-employment physical are two very different things. The blood they take for a physical is purely for medical reasons.

IF I were you, I would not drink a beverage containing alcohol at least 8 hours before going in for your physical or any drug/alcohol testing.

You must sign an authorization before any body fluids are tested for marijuana or any other off topic substance.

Thanks for the info. My cousin (who works for the company I got the job for) said not to drink alcohol for 2 week (probably when my physical is). I thought that was rather strange. I did alittle research and found that detection of alcohol was at a max of 10 hours. Trust me, I am not much of a drinker, maybe one night a week and I defintely wasnt drunk during the interview. I just want to cover my bases for this physical.

I took a home THC test today (the dip kind, 50 ng/mL cut-off). Got a pretty faint T line, and its only been 4 days since I smoked last. Didn't do anything special as far as dilution. Took the test with my 2nd or 3rd piss of the day. I verified the results with my roomate, asked him if he could see the T-line at all, yes or no, and he said yes. I feel pretty good about my chances of passing another piss test, figuring it probably wont be for another 7-10 days. Any thoughts?

I haven't heard anything as of yet regarding when my start date is. I am going to call the guy tomorrow and see if he knows yet. I haven't smoked in almost a week. I took a home dip test on Sunday and another on Monday and both came back negitive (I was an irractic smoker for the months leading up to now). I am feeling pretty good that if they do pop me again before I start, that I will have no problems passing.

Friday morning (day 12 of being clean), the day of the test, I woke up at 6am and took 3-4 more aspirin. I also started to drink 20oz bottles of Gatoraide. Within an hour, I had drank 3 of those bottles (60oz total). I then popped 1 B2 pill. Took a shower, got dressed, and drank a 12oz glass of water. I took 3-4 pisses before I left for the drug screen. I also took a home test right before I left and got a pretty noticable T line. So I passed that.

When I got there, I had to piss again, and had to wait over 30 minutes before someone came and got me. I ended up taking another leak while I ws waiting. When we finally got to the Medical room, it was 9:15. She asked me to do all the standard stuff, I picked out a cup and went into the bathroom. Peed half stream and have her more piss than was required (I couldnt see the line). The nurse just laughed and said that was fine.

I have not heard anything yet, but I know the hiring manager was in Mexico from Tuesday-Friday this past week. Just wanted to get some feedback on my method for dilutuon. Did I drink enough liquid? Do you think I will pass?

yes cuz i've drunk a gallon of water,and passed it. i had to take a drug test 6 times,and i drunk a gallon of water every time an passed it.trust me on this one.
