First part: I just got a job offer at a large bank in the IT department. When they made the offer they said there would be a pre-job drug screen that I would do at a Labcorp office. I did quite a few searches on here and it seems that most (if not all) Labcorp tests are urine tests. Although on the Labcorp website it says that they do hair tests as well. What should I expect?

Part 2: I'm about 5' 10", 180 pounds, fairly active with a beer gut. I've been a casual smoker for probably 10 years (couple times a week). I definitely smoked on March 4th and might have had drunk a toke or two since then. I've definitely been clean for two weeks. Took a home test a few days ago and passed with a faint line. I think the test will be Monday (April 3), but maybe this Friday. I know this gets askes all the time but since I passed the home test should I worry? Do banks screen harder than most companies?

Any advice would be awesome. Just paranoid and trying to ease my nerves. Thanks!

Remember from your research that timing is everything. It is a good sign that you obtained a faint line on the test, but when did you conduct the test? If it was first thing in the morning, you are probably ok. If it was later in the day, I would tell you to re-test yourself using the first urination of the day. If you get a faint line there, you can do mild dilution (Keyword: MILD) and pass if you schedule the test for late afternoon.

I wasn't aware that LabCorp has begun to do hair testing. If the Company you are applying to has used this particular procedure for pre-employment for a long time, they probably will continue to do urine testing as a drug screen.

The home test I did was first thing in the morning. Faint line. Still a pass but I'm hoping they don't test below the 50ng/ml cutoff.

When I did a search for the nearest Labcorp it says they do hair testing (certain hours only - call first). Not sure which kind the bank does and that's what worries me. Sounds like I would have to schedule a time so maybe I'll know in advance.

I'm planning on doig a mild dillusion the morning of (couple gatoraids and a multi-vitamin). if anyone else has any exrta advice that would be great. Thanks again.
