If taking a normal 6 panel test, it really does not matter how old the Urine is correct? Like the home standard panel test. The urine can be 10 days old, and still pass?

From what I've just recently learned the biggest change in urine as it gets older is the odor and appearance. It becomes cloudy and REALLY stinky after a few hours at room temp. You should try and keep it as fresh as possible by keeping it in the fridge or freezer. It will stay "fresh" in the fridge for a few days and up to a year in the freezer.

If they are testing the sample immediately after you submit it the odor will be a dead give away that the urine is not fresh. If you submit the sample in privacy and seal it with a lid for it to be tested later you could PROBABLY get away with urine that is a couple days old. But like I said keep the sample cold/frozen before warming it to the correct testing temp.

Though I'm not positive on this I've also heard that the ph level of old urine MAY not test at normal levels.

Integrity checks is what you have to worry about with old urine, not so much the actual 6 panel drug screen.

Some companies, not all, but some send any non-negative specimens, those that do not pass the integrity checks or those that seem suspicious to a lab for confirmation. If your old urine seems suspicious to the collector (i.e. cloudy or extra ammonia like smell), the collector may send to the lab. If that happens and you are using degraded urine, you could have problems.

There's been some debate on how long urine can last in the fridge.
Some have said as long as 30 days.
