I'm not sure if this is the right forum or not, if its wrong, can someone please move it? After getting a non-drug related misdemeanor charge, I was ordered to take a drug test screen to see if it should be part of my probation. I was originally going to have one year of non-reporting probation. In court, I admitted to smoking two weeks prior when I was asked if I would pass the test. I just admitted to it because I thought I wouldnt have any time to detox or anything. I was ordered to take a drug test within 24 hours. This is where it gets tricky, I had trouble urinating while being observed, and went every day for 5 days, and ended up taking it. I drank so much water and green tea to make sure I had to go to the bathroom when I went, I actually passed the test. I have another small hearing, which is right before my sentencing, where I will have to explain why I was late with the test. After talking to numerous court employees, they all say that I will be fine, with no punishment or requirement of paying bond. At first I decided to represent myself, but 3 days before my sentencing, I recieved a letter in the mail saying I have been appointed an attorney, So ill call him tommorow to see whats up. My main question is whether or not the court can justify adding drug testing to my probation, because even though I admitted to smoking, I still passed the initial drug test. Thanks!

That question would be better put to your lawyer than to any of us. We don't know what state you are from or what your situation and exact details are, we cannot answer with any authority or accuracy. BTW, we are still unsure whether you are an adult or not, but I am sure you have not been honest with your parents.

Okay I understand, I was thinking theres probably no easy answer to my question. I am 18, but still living with my mom. She is fully aware of everything that has happened.
