First of all, I would lke to thank everyone for their input. It has benefitted me greatly.

Now, I have epilepsy, and have been prescribed to Marinol to treat it. Yes, this is an off-label usage and my doc had to go through a bunch of bullshit to prescribe it to me. Recently I was arrested for possesion, and only wanted the Marinol as an instrument to get around the drug tests. I have been accepted to do a pre-trial diversion program. I failed my drugtest for marijuana, thinking that it would be attributed to the Marinol without any worries. 5 days prior to my next scheduled drug test my attorney tells me the DA told him that by process of GC/MS testing, they were able to determine that the THC in my sysytem was from actual marijuana and not dronabinol(marinol). The ingredients in Marinol are THC(synthetic, but of the exact same chemical make-up), Blue no.1, Red no.40, Yellow no.6, sesame oil, and titanium dioxide.

The DA made it seem like there was a chemical other than THC (a cannabinoid, or one of the above ingredients in Marinol) that the GC/MS test could check for that could differentiate between THC consumed by Marinol, and that consumed by smoking, but based on the information I could find, I have found no evidence of this whatsoever. I smoke very heavily, every day, and only slightly dilluted my sample last time, basically thinking I did not have to give a fuck, and I believe the only way of differentiating would be by the amount of THC in my system. I only take 5mg. capsules, 2 a day, whereas one gram of dank (20percent THC) contains over 200 mg of THC! I smoke at least a gram a day.

My basic question is, is there a way of testing for any of the other igredients in either marijuana or Marinol, or is the DA just playing head games with me, thinking that by telling me 5 days prior to my next drug test that there will be no way of being clean?
