Greetings everyone! I just had a few questions about piss testing. I've worked in retail for the last 7 years and never had a drug-test. The last time I had a drug test, it was for probation as a teenager. The weird thing is, I had smoked just 5 days before and passed with flying colors. Of course, I was running HS cross-country at the time, so I had like zero body fat. But now I'm getting a IT-Job that pays about 3 times more then any retail job I ever had and I am thinking it is likely that they will drug test. I had the first interview a few weeks ago and I didn't think it went that well, so I continued smoking. Then, about a week ago, they called me in for a 2nd interview. I quit smoking 4 days ago and had the interview 3 days ago. Unexpectedly, the interview went extremely well and they seemed very interested. Lol, I didn't think they would consider me, sense this is my first IT job. My gut feeling is that they are going to call me back sometime this week. Now, they know it will take me at least two weeks to get moved and start working. My first question is, how much time do you think they will give me before testing? What's normal? And for the second question, "more info below" how long do you think it will take for me to clean out? I am 6'2", 160lb. I have a extremely high metabolism, I can eat like a pig and I seem to lose weight before I gain it. But, previous to 4 days ago, I was a daily smoker, generally smoking a 1/2oz every two weeks "got to love one-hit bongs". Anyway, think I'll be cool just waiting it out? Or should I be ordering some sub urine just in case? Or, perhaps Dilution? I'm trying to keep my options as open as possible. Thanks for any feedback fellow herbalizers!

When I received my forms and they requested me to go in for a drug test, they gave me 2 business days to get it done. Some places don't do this but my company did. If I were you I'd start running and doing some cardio but stop a couple days before the actual test.

Im in the IT field and I have never been tested. People who do this type of thing arent normaly the ones tokin' if you know what I mean.

No, I don't know what you mean. There are tokers everywhere.

Sometimes a company will send you the forms and arrange from afar for you to take a test locally. That way, they don't arrange for you to move and incur lots of expenses before they even know if you are eligible.

Do you know how many more interviews or employer contacts are required before you would be offered a position for sure? (or have you been offered a position already?)

Perhaps asking the HR person for that company to send to you a policy package spelling out the benefits, employment policies, etc. There might be something in there that would help you out.

6'2' 160lbs and nearly three weeks i'm sure you'll pass with your own piss. just make sure to not smoke. buy a drug test at a drug store and take it the morning of a few days before the company test just to make sure, but from the sounds of it, you won't be getting tested.

Your right there are tokers everywhere. The image of an IT worker are not that of or anything related to marijuana. Once again, I highly doubt you will have to get tested. I never have.

Thanks for all the responses everyone, I truly appreciate it. I was thinking that they would not test either, but judging from the security at the place I will be working, I have a strong feeling that they will. All this worrying about the test has me thinking about that movie Gattaca. LOL, imagine trying to get around toking working for THAT place, lol.

Sec3: I'm sure there is a lengthy HR period. I'm not sure how long, but I'm sure I have at least two more weeks before having to worry about the test. Here in about a week, I'm going to buy a bunch of those walmart tests and start testing myself every few days to check my progress.

I'll be sure to let everyone know how it works out.
