Hey everyone, newbie here. I come, of course, at one of the most crucial times for a smoker ... the drug test!

To start off I'm 5'10/170 male ... not very active but not a total slug either.

I've smoked for 7-8 months total ... within the past month or two I've been a daily smoker with say an 8th or so lasting me 3-4 days.

I last smoked on Sunday 23rd and was piss tested today.

Countermeasures I took were :

This morning I drank about 4-5 glasses of water and pissed 3-4 times prior to giving the sample.

I also drank a 3 fl. oz pouch of liquid fruit pectin in a cup with Cranberry juice about 1:00-1:30 prior to giving the sample.

My urine was clear so I downed a Mountain Dew Code Red to give the sample some color. The sample had a light yellow tint so they accepted it as it wasn't totally clear.

I did not intake any creatine. I also didn't eat today before giving the sample either, I was in a rush to get to the place so I just didn't have time, wasn't hungry either.

The test I was given was a ( ) 35536N SAP 10-50/300 GC/MS
Also the sample given wasn't enough to fill up to the required line on the cup but the tech accepted it anyways. So I wasn't able to give a mid-stream sample but I urinated probably 10 minutes prior to giving the sample.

I know this is a lot of reading but I just wanted to cover all bases ... so what do the experts think?

I only wish I would of found this site and all the methods described prior ... tons of knowledge in these forums.

I'm sorry to say this, but I don't think the chances are good. Hopefully you will get a dilute result and maybe you will get to retest.

Thanks, unfortunate I didn't find this forum sooner ... all I can do now I guess is playing the waiting game and hope the MRO
DOESN'T call. We'll see ...

IF the MRO does call you, could you please post the conversation here? I don't have first hand knowledge of that part of drug testing and I think it might help people if they know what to expect if they get a positive result.

I think your method definitely helped decrease levels, and it was a good attempt, and it may have worked, had you smoked maybe 2 weeks prior, but 4 days wont cut it.

I received the call from a lady working at the testing facility, she announced her name but she wasn't the MRO listed on the CCF form I received.

She asked me to verify my social security and once I gave her that she said " You tested positive for marijuana, do you have any medical conditions that would cause you to test positive? " I told her no and she asked me the last time I smoked. I told her and she told me that it stays in your system 6-8 weeks if you're a regular user.

She then told me she'd have to report this information to the hiring company, I said ok and she hung up.

Not very interesting but there it is ... I figure I got busted so no need to lie or make excuses, just take it as a learning experience and move on.

On to the next job!
