If you get a positive result, or a false neg result for being diluted, does the HMO call you or the HR department from the company you are testing for?

A positive: Yes, an MRO should call you and discuss any possible LEGAL reasons for a positive. (not many options for legal THC).

A negative: No, there will be no call, why would they call?, what would they say?

A false negative is a negative. It reads the same on the report.

what about a prescription from your doctor for in my case a mild pain killer ?
I recently took a physical for pre employment and took my presciption bottle with me .. the nurse photo copied the label and sent it in with my sample and I am waiting anxiously for my results.
I have never heard of a doctors excuse on these test and its making me a little nervous
I home tested myself for THC and was clean two days before test so I feel a little more at ease as far as that is concerned

I wouldn't volunteer ANY information. The MRO will call you if there are any questions. An example of a call from MRO to my brother-in-law.
MRO:"hello, this is so and so from such and such. You tested positive for THC is there any reason you know of for testing positive?"
Brother-in-law:"Yup! I was stupid and shouldn't have applied for the job in the first place, knowing that I smoke pot."

The MRO is paraphrased, but that is exactly what my brother-in-law answered. Needless to say he didn't get the job. So I go to work without him.
