im 5'7...140 lbs....and i consider myslef to have a pretty high motabolism....(same weight for about 3 years)....i work and play basketball about 1-2 times a week....the last time i smoked was last sunday and i will prolly have a piss test in about a week and a half.....the last time i smoked before sunday was aobut a week before that....i used to smoke about once a day (one bowl) for about 2 months......do u guys think i will pass by takin niacin and drinkin lots of water???? what should i do?? im kinda worried cuz this is for an internship for the summer

You'll probably be just fine.
Abstain.
No need for the niacin.
Drink only if you're thirsty.
Get a home test and take it with your first urine of the day about two days before the test.
If you pass, which I think you will, you're done.
If not, either dilute or sub. Start getting acquainted with those methods by reading the stickies in the Urine Testing forum.

detox drinks are a waste of money. if you need to, just follow the dilution protocol.

thats exactly my position. word for word. i'm about 5'9 145lbs, last time i smoked was the 22nd and have a piss test in about a week and a half. its for an internship with boeing believe me i understand the worry.

the best thing you can do, is get aquainted with "quick fix". Be prepared to overnight it if you fail a morning piss with a hometest.

another option as stated above, is dilution. - id use this if your morning piss test has a really really faint line.

Dude depending on the the seriousness of the test, they can tell if you've been drinking tons of water to dilude your piss.
which would cause a failure sometimes
but instead of water drink cranberry juice its a natural body cleanser

i just found out that i have to take the piss test on wednesday....the last time i smoked was thursday....what should i do???? ive been drinkin lots of water and takin niacin....along with that ive been runnin 2-4 miles for the past 2 days....do u tihnk i will be able to pass or should i drink the detox....i went in and bought "detoxify ready clean" and the lady who sold me it told me i will pass as long as i follow the directions perfectly....is this correct?

when i bought the drink today they also gave me 2 home tests....i took one today just to see my results and they were POSITIVE which worries me even more....should i continue to drink lots of water or should i switch to cranberry juice??? need advice asap!!!! this drug test is for my internship! im an idiot!!!

Isn't it funny (peculiar) how history repeats itself? Just about a year ago today (5/19/06) you were asking the exact same questions. Did you read up on the dilution method then as you were advised?

While you were buying your detox drink did you ask about Quick Fix or any sort of synthetic urine for substitution?

I really don't mean to rip on you personally, it is just that we (collectively) answer the same questions from different posters all the time. It is just a bit disappointing to realize that we are answering the same questions to the same people year after year.

Now to answer this specific post:
Drinking fluids, even cranberry juice, days before your test will not clean the THC from your system. Nothing will. The reason you are supposed to drink a lot of fluid (sports drinks) during the hours prior to the test is to dilute the results. That means to have more fluid in the urine to make less THC per milliliter.
Cranberry juice is healthy for the urinary tract. The urinary tract has nothing with the fact that your fat cells is where the THC is actually stored.

All that being said, I think you should really skip trying to dilute and read up on the substitution. Find a clean friend who is willing to donate or search for a supplier of a synthetic urine.

You have about a day remaining until your test. You have had about a year to prepare. If you continued to smoke mj over this past year, you should have learned how to protect yourself in the event of a pre-employment, random, post-accident or reasonable suspicion drug test.
