Final quick fix thread

in case anyone cares to know, i got the FINAL final word (though i knew it beforehand) today - I passed. QF is the shit.

Before heading out to the lab, i took quick fix and heated it in the microwave for 10 seconds exactly. THis brought it to about 96ish. I then took it with me in the car, and put it in a sock with a heating pad strapped ot it. (Sock for insulation). Once I got to the lab, i took the digital thermometer i bought, and checked the temp. It was about 96, which is okay, but I didnt want to have it that low...so i took it with hte heat pad, and shoved it in my specially bought 'boxerbriefs'. I had 2 pairs on. I then drove around for about 10 minutes, came back and rechecked the temp....it was about 99. Perfect. Shoved the bottle back in my pants, and went into the lab. Took about 3 min from entering the lab to being in the bathroom - once i was in there, i did the following:

Took quick fix out of my pants, put it into my pocket.
Urinated into the cup with the temp strip, and the rest in the toilet. Once i was done i emptied the cup into the toilet (making no sound), took quick fix out of my pants and quielty poured it into the cup. Came out, handed it to the nurse - signed some papers, and was out of the lab within 5 minutes. Done deal. Now lets just hope it does what its supposed to do.

why do you urinate in the cup before???

Has anyone tested the quickfix at home before hand or does this contaminate it?

I pissed int he cup before hand to get the temperature strip to register (though QF was the right temperature, i did this just in case)

I did test home test QF before hand, this did not cause any sort of contamination.

The only test you whould need to perform on a bottle of Quik Fix is an Integity check if you have had it for a while and have heated it a number of times. Other than that it is good to go out of the box.
