I might have a new job soon and I was wondering how often drug tests happen in Canada. Not sure if its different between here and the US. It has never come up for previous jobs, but reading this thread kinda freaked me out if I were to get tested.

I know there are drug tests in Canada, but as for the frequency in relation to the U.S., I can't tell you.

Transport jobs ie airline, buses and cops
I am one of the unlucky Canuks that had to go through this stupidity. It has has got my whole out look at 1st world civilization to Change. There is a great Bob MArley song call Taint nobodies business but my own that embodies my beliefs. I encourage all of those who havent hear it to download it.

most construction jobs do oil companys transport as for frequency? i usually have to do presite testing but not all the jobs i go to has this, but it sure seems the better ones do. even some courier companys do test here. i think it lowers there insurance rates. funny thing.....im working for a dutch company it is legal to puff in their country but i have to pee in canada if i want to work for them. im sure this is all government bullsht here
