| i am a medical marijuana user in california, i recently got a job workng for the county water district and found out i have to pass a piss test. i have a card and was wondering if they would have a problem with me smoking for medical reasons outside of work. let me know. i appreciate it -climb trees- |

| Medical use is not accepted by almost all employers. It is the same for ...say...a prescription medication that has a warning on the label not to use while operating heavy equipment. Just because you have a prescription for it, doesn't mean the employer wants you to be on the payroll while under the influence of that drug. Same thing for marijuana use. Just because the state says you can use it, doesn't mean the employer has to let you be under the influence while on the payroll. |
