Okay...

So my fears were confirmed and the test came back "negative dilute". I called the MRO and she told me.

I have not yet heard from the employer, but when he told me I needed to take a drug screen, he told me not to drink too much water before the test, or else it would come out negative dilute. I don't remember if he said that would call for a re-test.

I already have an offer letter (contingent upon a negative drug screen) and a start date.

Do you think I will get a second try?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RESPOND!!!!!!!!

i followed the dilution method pretty closely and took creatine for 4 days. I don't know.. i probably drank more than the dilution method because I probably drank a total of about 80oz within 4 hours.

I seriously think I am going to have a full blown panic attack right now.

When did the MRO get your results and how long was he/she gonna wait to call you and let you know?

I have no idea... i just called customer service..it is a lab, not just a dr.. a large place - Stat America. She looked up my results based on my social security number and told me the result was "negative diluted" and that it "went out just yesterday" .. i guess the MRO doesn't always call you for negative diluted - I think it is up to the employer, which is why I am in a panic. Want to know if i'll get another test.

i have an offer letter with a start date and everything so please PLEASE pray for me that I'll get to re-test. The HR person is not in today so i will hopefully get a call tomorrow?

Worst part is i probably didn't even need to dilute, i passed 4 home tests (one of them the line was pretty faint) ... but instead i freaked out and apparently i overdiluted.

I drank mostly gatorade, and took creatine supplements for 4 days! And rolaids! ARGGGGGGGG!

how long before your test did you smoke?

The last time I smoked was April 21. I was a 1x/week smoker (very good stuff). So when I took the test I was 32 days clean.

I AM A COMPLETE IDIOT.

If i get to retest, I will be 5 weeks clean. Does anyone know if it's likely that they retest for preemployment (it's not DOT or anything like that).????

I think they'll give you a retest if you have a good explanation as to why you had downed so much water. Say that you're a runner and usually stay well hydrated and you're more than willing to go in and take it again without drinking any water. If they don't buy that then I'd offer to pay for the re-test because that is more than likely the reason they won't give you another.

Just ran out and bought another 2 home tests (one for right now, i haven't drank water all day) and one for tomorrow morning so I can do it for the first void.

Passed the one i took just now (without drinking any water) with flying colors.

So... if i get a re-test (which.. shouldn't i? it was negative diluted and I do have an offer letter in hand) I am going straight out plain old non-diluted, regular natural urine.
