I was reading on form the employer gave to bring to the drug testing place is going to be performing the following tests. They also gave me the collection cup -- looks like a larger individual applesauce snack cup. Inside is a plastic bag of some sorts and then a plastic collection cup. Last time I took a test which was ages ago -- it was just a cup nothing else. The place who is conducting the test is Quest Diagnostics.

What do these codes mean? Is this for hair/saliva test? (sorry i just really worried hadn't had a drug test in some time not familar with new procedures out there)

6633N SAP 10-50 GC/MS
7192N SAP 10-50 + Alcohol

I understand they are testing for thc/alcohol. What does the GC/MS & 7192N mean?

I take the following meds and don't know if this will make me fail.
Xanax
Flexeril
Tylenol # 3 - all are prescribed.

For exception of Chromium Picolinate which was recommended by therapist to aide in weight loss.

I don't know what the 2nd test code you gave is, but the first one (6633N...) means 10 drugs are to be tested for, with the cutoff for pot being 50 ng/mL like most EMIT screens. If you fail the EMIT, then they will do a GC/MS test which is more sensitive and will detectthc metabolites as low as 15 ng/mL.

The first part of the code is a specific employer's code. In other words, It is how the employer (or Third Party Administrator [TPA]) has contracted with the lab to conduct the testing regarding the billing, etc. The remainder is SAP = Substance Abuse Panel; 10-50 is ten different drugs with a THC cutoff of 50ng/mL; I am not sure why there are two codes for the same donor. Could be they may be testing different classes of employees in a different way. i.e.: If some of your employees are working with children, disabled adults or the elderly, they may have a different, more stringent testing protocol than the workers who dig the ditches. Just an idea, not really certain about that tho.

Thx, sorry for not using the search. Thansk for explaining the 10 panel code. I did try looking on here, google, and yahoo for that other code but can't seem to find any info on it. Going to search some more for it.

Why is it that the "50" in 10-50 refers specifically to the THC metabolite cutoff? How do you know that from the test code alone, since it doesn't specifcally say "cutoff for THC is 50." Are the cutoffs for the other drugs tested always the same so THC is the only one that needs to be specified? Is this simply something that is a given for people in the field such as yourself?

Because that is the most common substance found and that is the most common one that is altered for a zero tolerance type of employer. The next most common cut-off that is determined to be altered by an employer is the off topic that looks like powered sugar.

This # (6633N) is very common. That is one I see a lot of, it is a pretty standard test. The number (7129N) is not so common. I can't recall seeing that before, but I believe that has to do with the alcohol.

The first code (6633N) is probably for pre-employment
The second code (7129N) is probably for post accident. Seeing that it also includes alcohol, that is my best guess.

What exactly are they looking for w/ the +ALC?
I have seen the 9-50 posts in here but havent found the /2000 in any of my searches.

sec3 may have to correct me but this is gunna be probibly be a test with a 50ng/ml THC metabolite and *heres where i may need correcting* 2000ng/ml for the off topic white poweder plus a alchohol test?

Sounds about right, except instead of the "flour" like substance, it probably is the "flower" like substance.
