Exclamation I messed up

I have read through these threads for over a week now and I apologize if I missed this topic, but I think I really messed up.

I smoke daily and have for 20 years. I knew I could not pass and from what I read I knew dilution would not work for me. I did get home tests and failed them all trying different methods. I don't know anyone that doesn't smoke so I had to break down and tell my Mom (I am 47) and she helped me with a clean sample.

I didn't practice as much as I should have. I think that and my nerves got the best of me. I went for the test but I didn't realize how how far a girl has to spread her legs to get that big jar between her legs When I did practice at home I wasn't wearing pants. Instead of just pouring the clean urnine in the cup I did it between my legs and spilled some of it on my pants and in the toilet. I didn't have enough to fill the cup. I had to use some of my own urine to get it to the right level. I had been clean for 10 days but like I said I couldn't pass any of the home tests. I would say at the most it was 3/4 clean and 1/4 dirty. And to top it off I left there with a wet spot on the back of my pants.

I wish I knew what "number" my THC level was and then I could just do the math. But the way I figure it, even if it were as low as 200 and I added 1/4 of dirty urine I would be over the 50 cut off. Does anyone have a guess as to how high a THC level could be?

I know what is done is done, but I can't help but worry. Did I really mess up as bad as I think? I will find out Monday or Tuesday I guess.

Thanks

You did the best you could at the time. We are all hoping for the best for you.

As far as the amount of THC in your urine that was mixed with your Mother's, well, it will be close.

Thanks so much for your quick, honest reply and good wishes sec3. So I do have reason to worry after all.

Now the only question I have is, what do you put on your resume? What do you say after being let go for being a drug user, from a company where you worked for over 10 years. I was going on-site as an consultant and it was the new company that required the DT.

Thanks again for everyones help. This board gave me hope. Best of luck to all of you.

I'll be sure to post the results as someone else may end up in my situation.

Put on your resume:
1. I was looking to find a company with room for advancement.
2. Philosophical differences with management.
3. Looking for a change, felt stagnant in my former position.
4. Left to take care family member.

Then hope like hell that your former company fears the HIPPA laws so much that they won't spill the beans. They will probably say something like:
1. I cannot comment on that.
2. Ms. Jane Doe violated company policy.
3. I am not privy to that information.

Does your company have a EAP? Maybe you wouldn't have to leave your current company if you volunteer to seek assistance through the Employer Assistance Program. If you have been there for 10 years, they may be willing to bend over backwards to keep you instead of losing an employee with all your experience and training. It might be more cost effective for them to pay for your counseling and "treatment" than to train another to take your place.

All of the above is if you do not pass. There is a chance you may pass. This is a tough one to call.
Good luck.

I tried that once for a trucking company. My dad gave me clean urine and I was worried about it being stale [took 3 days for the orientation] and put a little of my own in the cup and came up positive, but that was 20 years ago and who knows my Dad might have not been clean either . But hey if I would have gotten that job I would have never met my wife and had my kids, something I could not live without, so there is always an upside to something, I think it is called Karma.

Good luck for you though and let us know.

Oh well....It came back positive.

My company seems to want to work with me. My boss is giving me 30 days to pass another one. It's been 16 days now and I can only hope and pray that 46 days smoke free will be enough.

I now have advise for others. Even if you plan to sub use dilution as a back up. You never know what might happen when you get to the lab.

Thanks again to everyone.

I'm no expert, but even for chronic users from the scientific research I've been reading, 30 - 45 days is enough to be clean. Just resist the temptation to smoke up, and maybe try a few detox methods over the time. You have a few weeks, so try what you can.

Best of luck to you.

This is a good thing, isn't it? I think you should be good in 46 days. This goes without saying, but I have to say it anyway:

Don't use MJ between now and your test in 14 days.

Hi All,

Thanks again. Don't worry I have no desire to smoke at this point of my life. It's just not worth it. As Hawg said it's all Karma. Everything happens for a reason. I've known I've needed to stop for years now and this is just the kick in the ass I've needed. My job is too important. I am thankful my company is understanding. Besides I've been spending close to $400 a month on weed so I just keep thinking of all the extra money I'll have. LOL

You guys are the best.
