Yesterday my roomie and & I dilulted and address employer sendt us to was empty parking lot. GRRR - Anyways we are again ready for another test today. I never want to drink water again. Will post back with hopefully some good news. I have 14days clean today light smoker - passed home test over weekend no dultion. My roomie pasted home test over weekend with dulution - daily smoker - I really wish we had some test left over for today but I had this planned all for Mondays test. So keep yer fingers crossed for us!!!!

Finally back.

Ok few concerns - as I said in earlier post the test was to be taken at the job. After filling out all paperwork we were asked to take pee test.

1) the temp of out urine was never recorded. Willl that mess up with anything?

2) we didn't take the test till around 3:15 - someone from quest was suppose to pick it up. As of 4pm nobody to my knowledge picked it up. I was wondering if the the urine sat for awhile assuming nobody picked it up today or tomorrow am would that sample be inacurate?

I so don't want to go through this for a third round.

Ok, 2am still can't sleep cuz I feel that yesterdays test won't be accurate as I said in other post.

I don't know if it matters if the temp was recorded at time of testing. We was told by our manager to pee in cup then pour the sample into another lil tube and put cap on it and then put the cup we pee'ed in and sample in sealed plastic bag. **I noticed the cup we pee'ed in change colors revailing temp but after a few mins it faded back to black** Don't know if that matters.

Then I think if nobody from the lab picked the samples up how valid the test would be. If it sat for hour or even overnight. I don't know if samples need to be refrigerated or watever to be accurate. Could Quest refuse to test if the temp wasn't recorded?

I am so afraid to get a call you have to come take another test. If thats the case I am going to again try and buy some more time as I/we can not keep
drinking all these fluids, asprins, vitimins, and etc because of all these mix-ups past few days. Our stomaches are twisted from the asprin and I know its not good to take this kind of dosage daily. A friend of mine said it's very toxic 1300mg (bayer 325mgx 4) as it thins the blood -- he said if we were to get cut we would literally be unable to stop the bleeding and could die. Plus the damage it does to the kidneys.

Ok, I'll address your questions one at a time:

1. The temp was recorded on a little check box on your paperwork that said "Read specimen temperature within 4 minutes, was temp between 90 - 100 degrees? Then they check a box either yes or no. The collection cup was sealed in the plastic bag to avoid contamination in the trash. It is thrown away after the collection.

2. I have had specimen's sitting in my office over an entire weekend before and none have come back as invalid or "bad". I think your only worry is if you diluted too much again. I think you will be ok, as far as not having to do this again and testing negative.

You won't bleed to death from a cut. It is true, aspirin does thin the blood, but for the couple of days you had to take aspirin, the likelyhood that you will be cut badly enough to bleed to death because the aspirin you took would not allow a clot is almost nil. Any smaller cut can be controlled by direct pressure until clotting does form.

Try to relax. You should know either today or tommorrow.

Sec thx for getting back.

1) After we were ask to go into bathroom our mananger left us to do our business. It did come up within 90-100 temp. But by the time we exited the bathroom the temp on the cup was blank again. It was not recorded by our manager. So I didn't know if that could mess with the test being it was never recorded and Quest would reject testing it or something. I mean say worse case they say its positive could I argue on the fact the temp wasn't recorded and ask for another test?

2)Thx didn't know if the samples sat too long if they would be ok or not. I don't think we over diluted so we should be fine there.

Thx for clearing the asprin up it had us really scared. I mean it makes sense as we were only taking it a few days. The way my friend was explaining it was lethal.

Anyways hope to hear something back from the lab. The sooner the better would be great but i know we have to at this point have to wait it out. Will they let us know either way if we passed or not???

We start the job tomorrow. I also found Quick Fix 4.0 at local cigarette store. So if anything that will be a better option for us.

If the collector did not mark on the form that the temperature was within range, the lab would send the collector a "Collection Correction Affadavit" The collector would have to sign the paper and have it witnessed that the temperature WAS in fact within range and he just neglected to correctly fill out the form.

An error like that is considered a "correctable error" and is not cause to re-collect. It becomes a "fatal error" if the collector does not sign and return the form. A fatal error may, or may not be cause for recollection. That decision is up to the employer.

My best guess? You are probably done with the testing, whatever the outcome. I have never heard of an employer testing a pre-employment 3 times. It might happen, I just have never had any experience with it.

I mean it would make sense that they wouldn't test agn due to costs. I been reading here it can take up to 48hrs for negative and longer for postive. We tested Tuesday so today will put us at 48hrs mark to get results back. Should we be concerned it i don't hear anything today?

Wait til Friday. Then call the employer and tell him/her that you need to know what time and where to report for work on Monday. That'll get things moving.
