well, I'm a 5'11" 140 lb guy with a fast metabolism, and i smoked almost daily for the past 2 weeks before last week.
I had a pre-emp drug test yesterday, and I was 7 days clean at the time.
I was very worried about being able to pass, so I follwed N2's dillution technique and drank around 2 quarts of gatorade and took aspirin before my test, which I hope helped.

My question is: does anyone know if the aspirin/dillution method works on the eCup? I've heard it isn't incredibly thorough...

And my second question is: last night i unfortunately gave into pressure and took 3 hits, and now my 7 days of abstaining is ruined. how far back (to getting it out of my system) do you think taking these 3 hits set me?

I don't think it matters. At the chance of sounding really mean, if you can't go over a week without smoking, you are screwed. Apparently the job isn't that important.

While I agree with 1toke, I will answer your question.

I use the ecup quite a bit. I do get a lot (approx 5%) positives from it. Those are forwarded to a lab where approximately 50% of those are determined to be negative and 50% are determined to be positive.

If you passed your test, it doesn't matter if you smoked last night or not. They would have known right away if you are negative and should have sent in any questionable results to a lab for confirmation. Is that what happened to your specimen? Was it forwarded to a lab? IF so, then you have about a 50% chance of passing.

Otherwise, what is the point of your question?

I am a a heavy user who has smoked up until 4/30, 5'5 135 lb high metabolism taking an eCUP test for preemployment. I have been drinkin tons and tons of water, and took some creatine monohydrate, with plans to take vitamin B on the day of the test (FRIDAY). Will the eCUP know about dilution? If so, what are the best ways to beat the eCUP?

I don't do any drugs, so am only worried about a false positive. I took the eCup test today, and while I thought I had enough urine, I didn't, plus I'm a novice piss tester and had trouble hitting the cup at first. (I'm female.) I ended up about 1 mm below the "minimum" line. The tech wasn't sure the test would take...in your experience, sec3, will the test be ok or inconclusive, and if it's inconclusive, what usually happens?

This tech was stupid. One mm is nothing. What the Ecup does is basically an instant test. IF the Ereader indicates a non-negative, then the urine is forwarded to a lab for confirmation. You can get a screening result (instant result) with very little urine (about 2 mL). If they needed to send for confirmation, then they would have needed more. IF you don't smoke or use any illegal drugs, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Thanks, sec3. I appreciate it! You really eased my mind. That damn tech really got to me. I let my employer know, and they said that if I needed to retest they'd call me. Haven't heard anything yet.
