Just wondering if anyone could help me. I only smoke marijuana occasionally. This year, I smoked the first week of January and the third week of March. This morning, June 15, I was given a random urine drug test. I had only pissed once and was rather dehydrated, so I actually had to sit around for a while until I could piss. Long story short, I tested positive for THC. They then sent this to a lab to test the results further. My question is, do I have anything to worry about? I haven't smoked in 3 months, and as far as I can tell, THC is only in your urine for 5-30 days. Am I correct in thinking that the lab should find that the initial test was a false positive?

I've had that happen a few times where an instant test has indicated non-negative. The specimens have been forwarded to the lab. The lab confirms a negative. If you have not smoked for about 3 months, you should be ok after the lab test. Keep in touch and let us know what happens.

I had a home test that said I was positive and I knew I was negative. So I immediately took another one, and it came up negative. I passed the test for the job, so everyonce in a while they spit out a bad one, its just like everything else on the market, nothing is perfect.

clydemorris, i'm sorry to hear about this and i do hope you test negative on the confirmation assay. please keep us informed either way. if you fail, which i doubt you will, you must let us know because your case would be wholly atypical and would need furtrher study

Thanks for the input. Needless to say, I'm still extremely worried. I'm told it takes about a week for the lab results to come back. I'll let you know how it goes.

Negative test results should only take 48 hours tops, unless they are shipping the specimen via pony express.

I don't know what you mean by sucrets. Anyway, tomorrow will have been a week since the test and still no word from them. I'm going crazy.

Sucrets are a hard candy style cough drop which give a false pos.
